Rusts are extrememly vain, and worship anything pure (in colour, that is!) and beautiful. Because of this obsession, their own markings are considered blemishes, and they try in every way possible to get them off (scratching, biting, licking, etc.). This self-destructive behaviour lowers their self-worth even more, resulting is a sullen, depressed, and visious creature. Rusts tend to take out their anger on anyone else who they do not consider "pure", which makes them voilent. All it takes a comment taken the wrong way to either unleash a tide of self-harm or a tide of muderous rage.
