Rock are both mostly comprised of a 12 track soundboard tape commonly
attributed to 8/21/76 or 8/22/76 and representing a typical main set from this
time period. Palace Theater adds three recently circulated soundboard tracks
(Sandy/Raise Your Hand/You Can’t Sit Down) as an encore, while Arena Rock,
which purports to be a complete soundboard from 10/25/76, omits Born to Run
from the soundboard and adds the encores (which include Born to Run) from an
audience tape from that date. Ed Sciaky’s intro from the 10/25/76 audience tape
is added to the beginning. The correct date for the 12 track soundboard is
unverified, but 8/21/76 can be ruled out, as it does not match a confirmed
audience tape from that date. 8/22/76 remains open, but is not definitive.

This heading, “recent additions,”
is a bit of a misnomer, and hopefully will be for a long time, until new shows
stop happening at such a furious pace, and I can finally catch up on my
listening. Well, I can put that dream
on hold with the new tour only a month away, but somehow I’ll just have to

backlog (besides the vast range of non-Bruce material that sometimes encroaches
