Speculations and insights about normal people

I wrote a monologue about a lesbian girl. One teacher was warning me that people may assume I'm gay if I was doing that monologue for teens, and treat me badly. She said they might take it literally. I kept saying "Wouldn't they know it's acting?" but she said they wouldn't. She said she knew I would, but the others wouldn't. This puzzled me, since most NTs start group pretending in their preschool years. At that time, obviously, they can recognise that someone else is pretending, and is not
really whatever they're pretending to be. My mom told me that discrimination turns off logical abilities, that someone who has certain logical reasoning skills may not use them when being discriminatory. This sure explains a lot! So that's way they say such illogical, discriminatory things. I wonder if it's me being gifted, or me being on the spectrum, that makes it that I'm not like that.

At the university where my parents work, the students are being asked to vote on joining a group that will advocate for them at the national level. I've talked to two people regarding this, one pro and one against. First, I talked to a guy against, who talked about the fees involved and glossed over what they'd actually do to help. Then, I talked to a guy for it, who didn't mention the fees and talked about the numerous benefits. Later I asked him about the fees, and he said that the fees were low (he stated the number as well) and he pointed out how the benefits would save money.
