Love is a two-way mirror, returning reflections polished by the joy others find in just being with
us.
"The best way of preparing for the future is to take a good care of the present, because we know
that if the present is made up of the past, then the future will be made up of the present. All we
need to be responsible for is the present moment. Only the present is within our reach. To care
for the present is to care for the future." -Thich Nhat Hanh
When I look in a mirror, whom do I see? Do I see the same person that I have been looking at for
years? Same eyes, same nose, same mouth-all the features I have grown accustomed to and probably
take for granted. Now I look again, but with spiritual and mindful vision that sees beyond
physical features to the real me that lies within. Whom do I see now? If I am really looking past
appearances, I will discover me, a dynamic, loving person who is unique and wonderful in my own
special way. If I look at the people around me, I will discover the beauty and wonder of God's spirit
within them. I behold the spirit of God in myself and in others. Now I am so glad that I took
another look.
"To set the mind on spirit is life and peace." -Romans 8:6
