Faithful Fathers Panel Service

Weathervane Community Playhouse will host speaker Charles Dutton on April 3, 2004 at the Weathervane Community Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane, Akron, OH 44313 (330) 836-2323. Mr. Dutton will be speaking on the subject of Faithful Fathers. He will address many issues that each father may or should experience. This event is being co-sponsored by Alpha Phi Alpha, Weathervane Community Playhouse, and the Akron Community Foundation.

The men of Alpha were first approached in October by Weathervane Playhouse Board Member Dr. Robert Sturkey. They were asked to co-sponsor the featured speaker on April 3, 2004.  After learning of Weathervane Playhouse’s desire to diversify their programs, Alpha Phi Alpha requested to facilitate several community panel discussions directly related to the theme of faithful fathers.

The panel discussion will be approximately 1½ hours in duration.  The first 45 minutes will be panelists providing their opinions based upon questions from the moderator(s).  The remaining time will be open for discussion, questions and comments by those in attendance.  Transcripts will be generated for all events for reproduction and distribution.

"Goodwill is the monarch of this house.  Men unacquainted, enter, shake hands, exchange greetings, and depart friends. Cordiality exists among all that abide within".

"Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man. And therefore, if a man write little, he had need have a great memory; if he confer little, he had need have a present wit: and if he read little, he had need have much cunning, to seem to know that he doth not".
