About This Journal

Dear Muggles,

Due to the popularity of the Harry Potter biographies that recently leaked into your world, I decided to start this webalog. As one of many fine witches and wizards that serve the British Ministry of Magic, I feel that our fine institution is underappreciated by your populace, and wish to sketch a better picture.

The Ministry, like any organasation, is only as good as the people in it. No person is perfect. The Ministry, like the Order of the Pheonix, made mistakes in the final Voldemort war. No one at the Ministry denies this, but one should acknowledge that its leaders (save Delores Umbridge) made the best decisions they could based on the evidence available at the time. Even the Potter books, with their blatant anti-Ministry bias, show that. Dumbledore did withold Harry Potter's testimony and other relevant evidence the night of Voldemort's resurrection. And Mr. Potter himself, when he had as much reason as anyone to disregard the Ministry, still aspired to join us as an Auror.

In any event, the war is eight, nearly nine years won. The last of the related trials and inquiries ended over seven years ago. The Ministry of today is different from then. I do not know of anyone who would not call it a better Ministry. It is this Ministry I wish to share with you.

Sincerely,

Ministry Wizard
