Scotland
I took these pics on a photo-holiday in Scotland on the Isle of
Skye. I stayed in a B&B providing a tuition on landscape photography (see Skye Photo
Holidays).
Sunset from the B&B in Ard Dorch

Same landscape, a few minutes later

In scotland, they
say there are 2 seasons: the Rainy season, and the Slightly Less Rainy season
(Sounds familiar)
So in fact landscape photography in Skye is as much about
Skye as the sky above Skye itself....

...as in this example.

But every now and then, you have the
odd sunshiny day, and Skye reveals its true colors.

Chambered cairn (megalithic tomb)
in front of Beinn na Caillich.

The same chambered cairn from
another perspective

Near
Loch Slapin, not far from the previous picture. Strath Suardal in the
background.

Duisdalemore church south of Skye

Same church
looking southwards. Isle Ornsay in the background.

In the middle of the picture, the site
of an ancient castle, Dunscaith castle. In the background, the Cuillins. The
picture doesn't look horizontal, but it is. It's just that the coast line is
very indented, and it creates an optical illusion.
I did it on purpose of
course!

The Old Man
of Storr: A a landmark of north Skye. Not such a good picture, but hey, it took
me 2 hours climbing to get there!

It's a stream, in case you wondered.
Taken with polarising filter.
