Plot <
This is the basic storyline that the RPG goes along:
Setting: Gaia, 20 years after the incidents that arose in the game: Final Fantasy IX, and ten years after the previous development.
2 Millenia ago, an ancient civilization thrived. They fully believed in the elements of the world Gaia. Pagans so to say. But even through their age, their technology was amazing. This civilization created the 4 Shrines, Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind, in order to honor their gods. And at the very core of these shrines lay crystals, to each their own.
As time crossed, legends arose about the crystals and their possible powers. The civilization mysteriously fell out of play, dissappearing without a trace. The only thing to remain were the legends, and the shrines ruins.
Now in the present day world of Gaia, archeologists have been able to uncover the possible crystals that represent the four elemental gods. Each was brought to a specific sanctum. Alexandria has the Earth crystal. Lindblum owns the Wind crystal (Cid wanted it in the hopes of making better airships). The kingdom of Cleyra owns the Fire crystal, and Burmecia owns the Water crystal (with hopes of controlling their rain, maybe to have a sunny day for once). But what powers do these crystals really possess...
