Courtney was raised on the streets of Treno, but never adopted the thieving instinct. She was abandoned by her family as an infant, or so she was told. When she was old enough she set out on a trek to find the truth about her birthright and to see the world. She is determined to find out about her past and protect her friends at all costs. She often finds life frustrating because no one seems to understand her and she eagerly awaits the day she can find that special person who does so she can spend the rest of her life with him. She has a strong connection with animals and finds moogles and chocobos to be the most adorable. Being a street child, she often runs from the authorities, which often resulted in comical chase scenes. Being raised to survive, her approach is to befriend those she needs items from and work for her rewards. In spite of her rather peaceful nature, she is a formidable opponent in battle. Namely because she tells herself that the situation is not worth submitting to. She believes that tomorrow she could find her soul mate and she cannot die because of that. "My time has not yet come."
