Nickname given to Weapon: The Racket/Flute-Thingy-I-Fight-With (she's a kid!)
Gender: Female
Alignment: Good
Clothes: First off, Lian wears a slightly baggy, thick, sleeve-less turtle-neck. The color is simply midnight blue on the lower half, while the rest is pure white. Underneath that is a silk shirt, very close of the one of Garnet's. Next, she wears a pair of large denim pants, similiar to the ones her uncle had worn, in which her 'monkey-tail' sticks out of (she's half genome). On the knees of her pants are two patches, one for each knee, in which have the letter 'C' on them. To accesorize, Lian wears a pair of thick, midnight blue fingerless gloves, covering only up towards her wirsts, along with a pair of large, chunky, brown combat boots. Finally, around her neck, Lian wears her aunt's pendent, along with a pair of dark blue goggles tightly strapped over her head.

Lian also has her formal gown, however, she rarely ever wheres it. The gown was formally worn by her mother and aunt; A nice white sleeveless dress, with small green embroideries. She also has some gloves that cover her forearms. Lian also has a "crown" or shall I say headpiece, more like it, that is of careful design and has lots of detail. The dress goes to the floor.
Personality: Lian is anything that a stereo-typical pre-teen would act as; overly-hyper, loud, and slightly selfish. She has a tendency to talk whenever she wants, wherever she wants, and finds that no one should stand in her way. Lian's fairly large stubborness is an obvious trait from her uncle's side, while her seriousness is a defianate yes from her aunt.

Also, Lian hates the fact that she is a princess. Like her mother, Lian basically wishes to go out and explore the world of Gaia, away from the castle walls for a while. Because of this, many gaurds often find her sneaky away from her room, climbing down on a chain of bathroom towels and such.

She also completely dispises books, however, loves plays. Plays happen to be one of her favorite things of all. Lian's defianate favorite would have to be "I Want To Be Your Canary" (surprise, surprise!), in which she was told that her uncle had played in a few times. She also has other favorite plays, however, she often gives her full attention to this one play.
Quote: "Ever wanted to see the world through my eyes?" and "Rally-ho!"
Origin: Lian's Journey: Wait for Me
"Ruby, you get back here this instance!" A young girl had yelped. She was desperatly trying to catch up with her red chocobo, her loose pig-tails bouncing freely in the wind with every step she had taken. "I said get back here! Don't you disobey me, again!" she had called. But still, the chocobo made no attention to her.

Indeed, Lian was fast. Faster than a jack-rabbit on hot smokey cement, as her uncle would say, but of course, the large bird infront of her was fairly faster. "Kweeeh!" it meeped loudly, continued to jog along the forest. Shaking her head in utter dismay, Carnelian, Lian as her friends and enemies would call her, suddenly slowed down her pace, and then collapsed onto her rear under the shade of an oak tree. With a sigh, Lian sat up-right, whistling a tune that her aunt had sung to her a few times when she was younger.

Swinging her tail patiently, Lian gazed at the red feathered bird, watching it silently trot back towards its owner. Ruby then gently nuzzled its beak against the girl's cheek, causing her to laugh in a gleeful manner. As if on cue, a soft beeping sound hollered its way into the ears of Lian.

(2:55)

"Huh?" Lian gave a quick glance at her wrist-watch, loudly gulping down a wad of saliva. She was late. Her mother had told her to come back before 2 o' clock and she was late. Lian gave another heavy sigh, hopping up to her feet, and then gave a playful whack at her chocobo. "We're late again, Ruby. After telling myself to come back before 2 o' clock 57 times, I'm late. And on top of that, Mom's is going to blow her top once she sees how messy we are! I can hear her now...Carnelian! Just what have you been up to?! You are absolutely filthy! Now, go and take a bath!" Lian mocked, which was followed by a playful laughter.

"KWEH!"

"That's what you say to everything!" Lian gave another laugh, and then swiftly hopped onto the back of the large bird, pointing towards home, "Rally-ho, Ruby!" She laughed, giving note to the word her uncle had repeatedly said on their last visit. Although she really never understood the meaning of it, Lian still found it somewhat amusing. Her mother and father would have never let her say such a thing, proclaiming that it was far too unlady-like for their liking.

With another loud "Kweh!" both Ruby and Lian set off for home...
Large strappings of yellow tape surrounded the castle walls. Lian blinked in extreme confused, hopping off of her chocobo in an agile movement. 'What the heck's going on?' She had questioned to herself.

Many gaurds were having various chats with tall police-men, who in which were scribbling down notes in a small note-pad. Lian silently walked up to an unoccupied police man, gently tugging on his midnight blue shirt sleeve. "Excuse me, sir. But may I ask what in the name of Gaia is going on?!" The police man, in which had the name Andrew tagged onto his shirt, gave a low whistle, and then quietly replied, "There has been a murder in the castle. Both Mikoto and Chantel have been killed. Luckily, however, their two daughters, Amber and Carnelian, were out when this incedent had happened..."

'A murder...?' Lian's jaw dropped. She quickly tore through the yellow tape strappings, making past the gaurds and police men that began beckoning for her to turn back. While making the last twist and turn through the castle, Lian's screamed in horror. She swiftly covered her open mouth with her hands, eyes widen in utter terror.

Before her laid two body-bags, in which were tightly zipped shut so not to be seen of the horrific sight, but the scenary around her was much worse. The walls were completely covered with blood, while furniture had been tossed over in disarray, as if the murderer was desperatly looking for something. Graffitied on the walls were, "I'll find you!" and "You can't escape!", followed by a few, "Ha, ha, ha's".

A large hand had suddenly laid down upon her shoulder. Lian tore her sight from the murder scene, gazing upon the face of Andrew, who in which had his head tilted downward in dismay. A tear then seemed to make its way down Lian's cheek, dripping down her chin...After a few moments of silence, Lian finally uttered the loud words that had laid in her throat ever since she had heard of this tragic event.

"MOMMY!! DADDY!!"
While gazing upon her older sister, Princess Amber. No, Queen Amber, Lian gave a sad, long sigh. Amber seemed to have no trouble cracking a sad, yet reasurring, smile, as tears began rolling down her cheeks, as well. "You don't have to leave, Carnelian...You could stay here with me..." Lian shook her head again. "No...I want to go. I want to stay away from this tragic horror...Until then, I might consider coming back. So, I guess this is good-bye, Amber." The two then embraced themselves into a large, warm hug. After a few more minutes of the moment, Lian had finally untangled herself from her sister's arms, and then made her way into the carriage. Her chocobo, Ruby, would be taken on through a seperate transportation object.

Lian gave another sad sigh, making herself comfortable in the red cushion seat of the carriage. She then glanced towards her right, seeing that Amber was standing a few feet before the carriage door, fingers tightly laced into the other. Amber then cracked another smile, and mouthed another quiet, "Good-bye" Lian quickly returned the gesture, and then laid back on her seat, as the carriage had began rocking into movement.

'Auntie Garnet, Uncle Zidane...Here I come...'
2 Years Later...
"Auntie! Uncle~!" called a voice from down the long halls, slurring out the names she called. The voice had slightly matured from last heard, with a slightly lower pitch than the young, high, baby-ish voice she had once had. Zidane shook his head, his lips curling into a smile, "You think she's been eating her sugar, again? She usually doesn't get THIS hyper until the afternoon!"

"Zidane!" Garnet snapped.

"What?" He blinked a few times.

As if on cue, Lian had stormed into their room. "Auntie! Uncle!" Her perky pig-tails were bouncing around with every hop she took. Zidane then crouched over, standing at their niece's height and questioned with a smile, "What is it?"

Lian was practically bouncing off the walls and furniture at this moment. She finally meeped to her aunt and uncle, "Ruby had run off into the woods, and I went to find her!" Lian was grinning from ear-to-ear, "So then I saw that Ruby was in a fight with an ugly monster, so I used the magic technique that you and uncle and Dr. Tot had taught me! And with the screaming and the running and the cheering! It was, like, mega cool!"

Both Zidane and Garnet exchanged glances with each other, and then soon on began laughing. However, Garnet had suddenly fallen dead serious, "Carnelian..."

'Oh, boy...' Lian thought to herself, cringing. She knew she was in trouble whenever Garnet had stated her by her first full name.

"You know Zidane and I don't allow you to go outside the castle walls. You are still under training, and might get hurt..." Lian's face faulted, "I know...But after hearing about you and uncles's adventure, I wanted to go on my own..." Garnet nodded, "We know...But still, it can be very dangerous if you go outside alone." Lian hung her head in dismay. "I'm sorry..." Garnet cracked a thin smile, gently putting her hand on the younger girl's head. "It's okay...Now go and get ready for bed!" Lian pouted, and then scurried off to her room.

"Only if you sing to me, again!" She had shouted, while slipping on her silk, midnight blue night gown. Garnet blinked a few times, "Again?" Lian had begun to climb into bed, "Yes, again!" She sighed heavily, "But I've sang to you for the past week!" A soft whimper echoed from her room, "If you don't soothe me to sleep, I might have a horrible nightmare..."

Zidane grinned at his wife, "She got you there..." Garnet shook her head once more, shrugging as she did so, and began making her way to her niece's room.

Lian was already neatly tucked in her bed, folding her hand into the other, and grinning widely, and somewhat mischieviously, up at her aunt . "What would you like me to sing for you tonight?" Lian grinned wider, "What you always sing to me! It's my favorite." She arched an eyebrow, "Melodies of Life?" Lian nodded vigorously, causing her now loosely-worn hair to bounce up and down. Garnet sighed, "Then I will..."

After a few minutes, Garnet began lulling her niece fast asleep, watching as Lian's eyelids seemed to grow heavier, and then were shut completely. Once she had finished, Lian yawned slight and uttered a soft, "Thank you...And then tomorrorow, you can tell me how Grandpa Cid turned into an oglop..." under her breath, nuzzling closer to her pillow. Garnet smiled, kissing Lian on the forehead, walking out of the room, and grasped the brass door knob in her hands, "Good night, Lian. Sweet dreams..." And with that, she closed the door gingerly, making her own way to sleep.
A piercing scream roamed its way around the castle. Lian had literally jumped out of bed, bolted out of her room, and tore into her aunt and uncle's room. "Where's the fire?!" She meeped, noticing that Garnet was gasping for air after the scream. Her face was slightly paler than her usual complection, while she was also being soothed by Zidane.

"What? WHAT?!" Lian stiffled yet again.

"M-my Eidolon...I've been extracted of Eidolon...Again!" Garnet silently whimpered, burying her face into Zidane's chest, whom had wrapped her into a tight embrace. Lian simply stood there, sullen for a few more minutes. 'Auntie Garnet must really value her Eidolon...a lot...I never thought they'd be this precious...'

She finally looked up from her state of quietness, "But...If you've been stolen of Eidolon, then who's going to protect you? I'm still in training...and Uncle Zidane said that he has forgotten most of his magic skills, as well..." Lian uttered a soft whimper under her breath, however, her expression then grew dead serious.

"Auntie...Uncle...I'm going to find whoever has stolen your Eidolon and restore it back to you. This'll be my chance of exploring the land for once!" Lian exclaimed with slight excitement in her voice, however, it was still mostly seriousness. Both Garnet and Zidane exchanged a few glances with each other again, and then shook their heads. "No, no! We will not allow it! Lian, you are still in major training, and we're afraid you may not make it in the outside world..." Lian stomped her foot, raising her voice, "I can too, make it! I'll show you, one day!" she had hissed, and with that, she stormed out of the room, leaving Garnet and Zidane blinking with extreme confusion.
Lian was desperatly trying to pack up her back-pack as fast as possible, stuffing in extra clothing, food, drinks, and other basic nessecities. Although she was forbidden to go, she still had to get back her aunt's Eidolon. Garnet had given her her pendent, in which she had said would help with her summoning skills...
FLASHBACK
"Hey, Auntie?" Lian questioned, leaning over her aunt's chair.

"Yes?" Garnet replied from her sewing, gently trying to finish up the birthday party dress Lian was to wear. "What's this?" She asked again, grasping Garnet's pendent in her small hands, her fingers barely being about to wrap itself around it.

"A pendent my mother gave me..." She replied again, never laying her eyes off of the green fabric. Lian arched an eyebrow. She was told wonderful stories that this pendent had given her aunt summoning skills 10 years ago. "Can I have it?" Lian knew she sounded very greedy, but it would help with her training, after all. Garnet finally lifted her eyes up, staring at her niece's own blue eyes. She smiled thinly, and then nodded, heading back to her sewing, "Yes, but only if you promise to take special care of it..." Lian began nodding vigorously. "I will, I will!"
END FLASHBACK
After finishing up her packing, Lian swiftly jotted down a note, saying that this would be her time to explore the world of Gaia more.

"This is it...My chance to have my own journey, just like the one that Uncle Zidane and Auntie Garnet had!" And with that, she carefully placed the note on her desk table, gently hefting her back-pack straps onto her shoulders. "We'll meet again..." Lian sighed, and then ran off, across the halls, down the stares, through the rooms, until she had made it to the front gate, in which she had seen 'Mr. Steiner' gaurding off. "D'oh!" Lian softly cursed to herself, however, then picked up a large rock, and threw it at the opposite direction.

Steiner, after hearing the scratches, quickly ran off in the direction of the noise, yelling, "Halt! Who goes there?" Lian giggled to herself, sprinting off, hopping onto the gondola, and making her way to the marketplace.

Once arriving, Lian swiftly got her chocobo, and hopped onto it, yelling, "Rally-ho!" Hearing this, Ruby gave a small sqwuak, and then set off out of Alexandria. Lian held tightly onto the red feathered bird, smiling somewhat sadly to herself. 'Auntie, Uncle...This is something I have to do. Please wait for me until then...' She had thought to herself, as Ruby had just passed the front gates of Alexandria.
Meanwhile, both Garnet and Zidane would watching intentively through the window, watching as Lian had already gone passed the gates. Zidane sighed, holding on tightly to his wife. "You know, Garnet. She might not make it out there. She's still under a lot of training..." Garnet only shook her head, "She's learned quite enough. Until then, let us just wait for her..." Zidane nodded, "She reminds me a lot like you." Garnet made no reply. He laughed to himself, "We'll wait, Lian...We'll wait..."
