| Here I included a testimony of a christian brother that I thought we had similar life conversion experience and beliefs:- I believe reading this testimony will help you in making an important decision concerning your life; especially when the bible says there will come a time ( at the end time when the Anti-Christ appears) when no one can do any thing. People that time is now and approching. Infact we are about to experience it very soon. All the propehceis concerning the end time have been taken place right in our generation! I do not respond to any messages that include: lewdness, obscenities, crudeness, name calling etc etc. I do not object to someone disagreeing with my beliefs, in fact I enjoy a civilized conversation with different points of view. Some basics about my beliefs: I believe the BIBLE is the ONLY word of God. I believe in the Trinity. I believe in one God co-existing as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I was raised in a somewhat small Protestant church. After not going there for about 10 years I have returned and even though most of the people, and pastor, are different it is still a very awesome church!!! I consider myself to be a Protestant in the Christian category because Protestants try to sincerely and accurately interpret the Bible. I think the term Protestant sums up my beliefs but my real goal is to follow Jesus not any particular belief/teaching system. To read a little more about me please click the link below for my Yahoo profile. I was born again when I accepted Jesus Christ back into my heart on Friday, January 11, 2002. On Sunday, February 29, 2004 I was baptised (full water submersion) at the church of my childhood!!! It was a very exciting and invigorating experience....and not just because the water was slightly cold....lol. I feel tremendously re-energized and more dedicated to serving our LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!! More about water baptism: Baptism's are best done as a public event (for anyone to witness) to symbolize the commitment you are making to follow Jesus. By being fully submerged and then rising from water I think it symbolizes burying your old self and rising out of the water washed clean and a new person. You do not need to be baptised to be saved or born again. To be saved you have to accept the Lord into your heart and sincerely ask forgiveness for your sins. Do not think being saved is something to do and then forget about. Even though it's impossible for us not to sin you should always be aware of when you've sinned and ask forgiveness. Even after having Jesus in your heart and life all it takes is one sin to keep you from eternity in Heaven. It specifically says in the Bible that God will not let any unclean thing into his Kingdom. Even I, someone raised in church and now rededicated to Jesus, will be kept from eternity with Jesus if I have a sin at the time of death. Many people accept Jesus not long before death and then quietly die; then hopefully they get to live forever in Heaven. But many other people have extremely sudden deaths, without even a fraction of a second to redeem their soul, and because they're stained with sin are cast into a burning Hell for all eternity. Because no one can say for sure when their time on Earth will be over it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to live a life with a pure mind and heart; constantly being aware of the thoughts AND motives of your mind and heart. (A visitor to my site read this part about not being allowed into heaven for even one sin. Her point was "What if we happen to sin just before we die and we don't know we've sinned? Would that also keep us from heaven? If that's the case it would be impossible for anyone to get into heaven." I think she also said something about how God's grace would allow us into heaven if we sinned and didn't know it.) After accepting Jesus into your heart you need to ask forgiveness of sins, and if you have accepted Jesus your forgiveness will be granted. The important thing to remember about forgiveness is trying not to recommit the same sin. Probably every believer has trouble recommitting the same sins. But that's when you need to be constantly aware of your thoughts so you know when you're tempted. We need to pray for guidance during times when we are tempted and during times when we are not. I don't care how long you have been saved or living your life for Jesus no one should ever purposely put themselves in a situation, where they have sinned or been tempted, so they can prove how much restraint they have against sinning.....the act of doing that is a sin itself; a boastful and prideful way of trying to show how great your self control is. The only way to prove your self control is to be sincerely humble and meek following Jesus and people around you will see your self control by your actions. While being humble you can not have a boastful state of mind....the Lord knows every one of our sins, even sins we are not aware of.
