Ether began in virginia Beach, VA in 1999 with bassist Brad Smith and drummer Matt Bregant who the moved to San Diego to search for capeable players to round out their vision. The dou soon hooked up with rapper John J and ex guitarist J Cooper, who is no longer with the band, and began spreading the Ether vapor through out the westcoast Ether not only blends varied musical styles, but is a collision of ethnic origin. as well. rapper Johnny J strikes from the heart of the street with lyrical content reflecting California culture. Bassist Smith has the bottom ended aptitude of a mad scientist unafraid to delve in the most astounding alchemical mixtures of sound and technical wizardry Guitarist Dave Ferrara can vacillitate from metalic crunch to jazzed infused mastery of chords that is a tasty as it is powerful. 10 year SD music scene veteren Ferrara, a east coast native from Princeton,NJ, attended Berklee college of music in Boston . Drummer Matt Bregant brings yaers of intense training in multiple styles, that perfected amount of flair over the mix, with his ear for stylish intrusion bringing the Ether sound to its completion. Ether was awarded song of the day twice on Garageband.com for their tracks "Roaches" and "Nocturnal". The band is currently recording their full length album, to be dropped at the End of the year, in Mira Mar CA. You can be warned of the Ether Vapor tour in the summer of 2004. |
