The Challenge
A feeling of adrenaline seeps into my mind,
A mind yet unchallenged,
For the challenge is yet to come.
I am at ease,
For I know I can overcome it all,
When the time will come,
I can conquer,
With my pride and soul.
For I never give up,
And I never bow down.
On that shall I speak,
Where the heavens can hear,
Shatter at the sound of my voice,
When the listeners will listen,
And come my way,
I am ready,
You will see.
- Eladine, XIII
Code
As members of XIII, we are all bound together not only by a guild name, or a leader,
but also by a set of beliefs and morals we all share. Keep the beliefs and morals of XIII
close to your heart, and if you ever seek clarification of XIIIs code, seek out
another member or council member.
1) We are a guild; individuals bound together. We are a family. If one member needs help
(i.e.: has been killed) and requires assistance, all members shall come to provide aid.
2) Both Guild and Group Hunts shall be held more often:
Guild Hunts: All of XIII to participate. All earnings shall be put into the Guild
Fund. Once every
so often, Eladine will appoint any magical drops earned during a Guild Hunt to a XIII
member, or allow the member who originally earned the drop, to keep it. This is done to
aid members in improving their weapons or armor, however the majority of the magical drops
will be put into the Guild Fund.
Group Hunts: Members of XIII volunteering will participate. All earnings will be split
equally amongst participants. If magical drops are received, it is amongst the group
hunters to decide how the drops shall be spent/split.
When hunting in a group, have diversity; youll all get the chance to learn about
each other more, and members relations with each other shall strengthen. Realize
that if you hardly communicate with a guild member, you shall not have a strong bond with
that member; the bonds between members in XIII strengthen XIII. Keep your bonds strong,
and XIII shall stay strong.
3) There is to be no Player Killing or Looting, unless:
- You are guarding a corpse and someone is trying to loot
it. If there is no other way to defend the corpse, you may attack the looter.
- The slain victim asks that you loot their corpse in order
to retrieve the items left behind with the corpse so that the items will be returned to
their owner.
- The person(s) are on XIIIs KLOS list.
In any other instance, if you wish to PK or Loot someone, you must ask Eladines
permission (and in most cases, the answer will be "no.")
Retrieved loot from enemy corpses will be put into
the Guild Fund, unless the loot had an original owner. For example, a PKer killed and
looted another player, and has that looted item with them. If the PKer is killed, the loot
should be returned to its original owner. The rest of the items will go to the guild fund
and be dealt with as seen fit.
4) The Guild Fund
- Gold saved in the Guild Fund will be used to purchase
land so a guild establishment may be built once construction is implemented.
- Items in the Guild Fund are to aid members- mainly for
equipment and weapon upgrades when members require it.
- A designated chest in the Guild Fund holds items that
will be used in events; such items are ones that members have "outgrown." For
example, low level magical armors and weapons.
- Items in the Guild Fund can be used to replace items lost
in Guild Wars or other such events, if necessary.
5) Guild Wars
- XIII does not seek out war, however if a conflict cannot
be resolved via discussion, XIII shall go to war. XIII tries to resolve issues verbally
through logical discussion, as we do not see war to be the first, and only, way to resolve
conflicts.
- Our guild leader, Eladine, handles war issues. However,
if Eladine is not present, Fateshivan, Second in Command, may address such issues and
policies.
6) Joining
- If you would like to join XIII, please seek out a current
member so that they can inform XIIIs council members.
- There are certain XIII members who are given status and
permission to hold interviews with those wishing to join XIII. Either Eladine, Fateshivan
or any council member shall be present at the interview.
- Please keep in mind that XIII is a guild of high
alignment, and we wish to maintain a good reputation, therefore your actions and
reputation shall be looked into.
- Please be sensible; dont beg. If you beg, it shows
immaturity and lack of respect XIII may not be allowing any more people to join; do
not get offended and whine/beg. Have dignity.
- If you are accepted into XIII, you enter a 2-week trial
period. All guild rules apply.
- Within the 2-week trial period, you are free to leave
without notice.
7) Bonds and Loyalty Ties
- We are not bound to a town: we do not guard or protect.
- We mind our own business and keep to ourselves (do not go
out and start conflicts).
- We are allied to Templum Veritae.
- We are bound to each other, as members of XIII.
We are to keep information disclosed in Guild Chat, in Guild Chat, and not be released
outside of Guild Chat.
8) Guild Tax
- Every week, each active member of the guild is to produce
200 logs. These logs will be stored in the Guild Fund, to be used for the creation of a
guild establishment, once construction is implemented.
- If 200 logs arent produced one week, 500 logs will
be due the next (200 logs for missed week, 200 logs for current week, and 100 logs
penalty.)
- Please invest in a Felling Axe, simply because it can
make the task easier. Varg is an ideal town for Lumberjacking as a densely forested area
surrounds it. Jeel is another good town, as well as Parian or Arda.
- If you repeatedly refuse to pay the tax, you may end up
being removed from XIII. The tax isnt a very hard one, and it should take less than
20 minutes to chop 200 logs, depending on your Lumberjacking skill level. The logs will be
used for the guild building, therefore they will be put to good use.
