PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE

CCA sees its mission as agenda setting to asses emerging trends to positively influence events. CCA's supporters have provided comments to the effect that our activities should continue focusing on the urgent and current situations. In this regard, we believe that the current political crisis in Ethiopia calls for urgent attention.

CCA hopes that a Conference that would bring together major stakeholders in Ethiopia including the ruling party is very timely in line with the most recent call for national dialogue.

Hence, our endeavour to organise the ''International Conference on Ethiopia (Scope for Partnership, Justice, Peace and Development, 2-4 August, 2001).

CCA believes that this particular Conference would, amongst others, enable us to:

  • Build a common understanding and mutual trust between participants
  • Raise public awareness around major issues of concerns: Justice, Peace and Development
  • Create a common platform for all the Partners.
