CENTRE FOR CIVIC ACTION
AIMS &OBJECTIVES
CCA is an independent non-profit initiative founded by UK based professionals, academics and practitioners of the Horn of Africa origin. CCA's main aim is to promote public discourse on issues that affect Diaspora and the Horn of Africa region with a view to enhancing common understanding and co-operation among all the stakeholders in the sub-continent.
To accomplish these, CCA shall undertake the following tasks:
Accordingly, since its inception in late 1998, CCA has organised a number of high level meetings and workshops on topical issues of our time. Of these, to note is the seminar on the ''Crisis within TPLF/EPRDF" and its implications (April 2001). Proceedings and the outcomes of those seminars/workshops were disseminated to all the stakeholders and were publicised amongst Ethiopians at large through available national and international media.
Because of these non-partisan high profile activities, CCA has been receiving positive and encouraging feedbacks for sometime to continue with its activities. The International Conference on Ethiopia is organised with these feedbacks in mind.
