This is how it all began....Jaleesa "China", Tainaeja "Senzativity", Tiffany "Baby T", and Siera "Angel" were the Eternal Voices better known as EV4. Corey Jon managed the up and coming girl group. It all started July 4, 2002 at approximately 11PM. They were all at the Phoneix Movie Theater, after seeing Men In Black II, waiting on another car to load up the overflow because Corey's Buick Skylark only held a maximum of 5 persons. Standing along the sidewalk of the now Columbia Place's movie theater in front of the stop sign were Tainaeja, Jaleesa, Corey, Tiffany, Siera, Da'rrell,

Tramier, Vincent, and Gabriel. Somehow a conversation arose with the topic of starting a group. Earlier weeks, Corey Jon had mentioned to Siera, Jaleesa, and Tiffany that he wanted them to sing together as a group. Well this night was one of those summer evenings when Tainaeja was in town. Taineaja lives in Pensacola, Florida and came up to visit family during the summer. To make a long narrative short, they decided to come together and sing. After they waited for the ride, which was late due to a fire at a cookout, they all went to Janie Brown's home to gather because no one seemed as if they were tired. The girls and the fellas went down to the basement to socailize. Someone came up with the idea to sing a song. It seem as it took forever to figure out what to sing, but they finally came up with "Come To Jesus". They rehearsed until it was good enough to videotape. They took it upstairs to the adults to watch and I reckon for approval of the formation of the group. Everyone seemed proud of them so the girls and their manager knew they were called by GOD to spread His gospel through song.
This is a picture of the group outside of the Ramada Hotel on Two Notch Road in Columbia, SC, after auditioning for "Apollo Night at the Township". They auditioned with a piece written by Tainaeja and arranged by Tiffany entitled "He Loves You So". They did an excellent job and the excitement of the LOAD of family supporting proved it. The next week while traveling back from a program in Newberry they had to sing at, Corey received a call from Ms. Wilma, Tiffany and Siera's mother who is now the group's vocal coordinator, saying that Larry Stevens, the guy over the "Apollo Night", had left a message on the home's voicemail asking for a returning call. Corey then called Mr. Stevens and received the great news. They made the final cut and were going to appear in the November 8, 2002's "Apollo Night at the Township".

Here's a picture of the group and their manager before the "Apollo Night at the Township" at Janie Brown's house who is affectionally known as "Nana". They didn't win but they surely enjoyed themselves. As they prepared for the event they sold over 80 tickets to supporting family and friends including Courtney who is now apart of the group. They performed "Amazing Grace" with Siera leading, Tiffany as the soprano, Tainaeja the alto, and Jaleesa singing tenor. Afterwards the celebrated at Janie Brown's, yes AGAIN, whose home was now THE SPOT.
After the summer of 2002 was over, Tainaeja and her brother Vincent went back home in time for the start of a new school year. She would travel back and forth to be commited to the group and performed at the main events.
As time went by, the group became confident in their work for the Lord. Corey Jon received a call from Ms. Linda Gilmore concerning the 3 Rivers Music Festival's auditions. She asked the group if the were interested in performing for the festival the following April. The group quickly consented to the auditions. Linda need a brief Bio of the group to be read at the auditions, but the auditions were right around the corner, so the group hurridly wrote a bio, and met Linda at the Reb Lobster on Decker Blvd. to deliver it. While they were leaving the restaurant, Corey pulled off, and while pulling off he heard someone in the back screaming for dear life. He looked back and noticed that Tainaeja was hanging out of the vehicle while Corey was driving. Corey quickly stopped, and everyone began to laugh. Tainaeja on the other hand was highly upset, and her and Corey argued until they got back to THE SPOT. Anyway, the time came to do the auditions when the group realized that they were triple booked. They were suppose to render song service at First Nazareth Baptist Church, then at Zion Baptist Church, and finally at the auditions. The group did not know what to do, and since they were just starting out, they did not want to turn down any invitations, so they decided, as a group, to attend all three events. They were successful in this endeavour, and made it on time to each one. When they got to the auditions, things really got heated. God had used them in a mighty way and they made it through auditions and got the chance to minister through their music at the next 3 Rivers Festival.
