Izumi is another shinigami who appears later in the series. He appears to be in a higher class then Takuto and Meroko, however. He's a very sadistic and pessimistic shinigami, and loves to tease Meroko, whom he calls Me-chan, and mess up Negi-Ramen's plans. In the past, Izumi and Meroko were once in love, and together in a Shinigami team. However, they broke up later and Meroko was paired with Takuto Kira, while Izumi became partners with the ghost, Jonathan. Despite what had happened in the past, Izumi still loves Meroko, and is always trying to win her back, therefore hes jealous of Takuto. Izumi also has a knack of being very mean towards Mitsuki, whom he calls Mi-ki. **spoiler warning** In the anime, he tries to steal her life early at least three times, and also tries to get a kiss from her. **end of spoiler** In the manga, Izumi is almost the same, but is a bit more nicer to the three. He also stays in Mitsuki's house sometimes. He also has the ability to change into a stuffed animal dog, but barely ever does because "It use's to much power, and is used just to attract children. While I have other things to attract them with, like my good looks." ^-^;; 
Appearence
Izumi looks very much like a buisness man. ^^ He has golden hair with dog ears sticking out of them. On top of his head he wears a brown hat that covers his ears. Izumi has dark brown eyes, and wears a yellow collared shirt, with a brown vest and a black (red in manga) tie. He has brown pants and shoes of the same color. On his back he has a pair of white wings that are slightly larger then Meroko and Takuto's. When he's a dog, he wears almost exactly the same things, a yellow shirt, brown vest, tie, and a brown hat. Very cute looking btw!^-^
