  • UPCOMING PROJECTS...I am slowly getting things going again on Rotation High! Here's hoping everything works out! ~J-Kun

    OBJECTIVE:

I am 22 years old, and at the moment, I am looking for a full time or part time job just about anywhere. I'm an artist by nature, and enjoy drawing. My main goal is to one day have a comic strip and/or published comic book. However, I am also interested in acting, and am a member of the Voice Acting Alliance, a web based place for amateur voice actors.Voice Acting Alliance, and I'm listed as tuxedo_knight_moon. Please visit their page!

    EDUCATION:

University College of the Cariboo {UCC} (2001-2003)
  • ~I am currently taking a break from school after two years in college. My first year was spent in the Bachelor of Arts Program, but I decided to change over to the Bachelor of Fine Arts instead. I have every intention to go back possibly next year, at least to continue in Japanese. Up to date, I have completed English 111/121, Acting 111/121, Drawing 113/123, History of Art 111/121, and Japanese 111/121.

    John Peterson Secondary School (1996-2001)

  • ~Graduated Grade 12.

    A.E. Cross Junior High {Calgary} (1995-1996)

  • ~One Year, Grade 7.

Sir James Laugheed Elementary School {Calgary} (1991-1995)

  • ~Half of Grade 2 to the end of Grade 6.

Alex Ferguson Elementary School {Calgary} (1988-1991)

  • ~E.C.S to half way through Grade 2.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Teacher of sorts (2005)

  • ~In May of this year, I was approached by the Kamloops Library to come in and teach children and young teenagers how to draw manga {Japanese style.} As of now, I have been asked to return to teach for at least two more engagements in late July and early August of 2005!

    Customer Service Representative (2004/2005)

  • ~I am currently employed at Convergys as a Customer Service Representative for Federal Express. My job is to take incoming phone calls, and help customers as best I can quickly and efficiently. I handle tracking packages and giving their status, problem solving, sending messages through to trace agents to get the ball rolling on finding lost or misplaced packages; scheduling pick ups; finding drop off locations; providing rate information; starting claims for customers; logging compliments and complaints, and various other tasks. I was on the 'help desk' for a few months {December-March} which is set up to help our agents in the call centre when they have questions reguarding FedEx related processes, and I was a mentor on and off for a while as well.

    Restauranteur... (2003/2004)

  • ~I was approached by the management and head cook of Magnums to man their new venture at Sun Peaks. It was a small restaurant called "Spoon Soup Bar." I was one of 2 employees who's job it was to open/close, get the soups ready, serve customers, take money, and clean. I was employed for the winter season.

    Dish Washer (2003)

  • ~I am currently employed at Magnums Bar and Grill on Victoria Street. I am the Kitchen Dishwasher, but I also am responsible for general clean up, and I have been called upon a couple of times for other reasons, such as cleaning after slight renovations, and re-staining the upstairs Bar floors. I am also being taught how to make simple appetizers, such as pizzas.

    General Assistant/Part Owner of Kamloops Go-Karts (1996-2002)

  • ~I have worked with go-karts in: starting them, dealing with pulling them out of tires when people would crash, and small fix jobs. I have great people skills, and have had the advantage of meeting wonderful people from all over the world! Since my family owned the business, I was involved in general yard maintenance, such as looking after the weeping willow trees, watering the lawn, cutting and weeding. Unfortunately, due to poor tourism in 2002, we were forced to close down.

    Arcade Operator

  • ~A year after we took over the track, we built an arcade. I worked inside, taking money, cleaning, such as the bathrooms and vacuuming the rug, and selling sealed foods and beverages in a small concession.

    Student Crimestoppers Member/Chairperson

  • ~In High School, I was a member of the Student Crimestoppers Program, and eventually became the Chairperson. It was our job to try and advertise crimes done in and around our school, and encourage people who witnessed a crime to report it to the Kamloops Crimestoppers, pitching anonymity at the same time.

    House/Dog Sitter

  • ~During Spring Break 2003, and for two weeks in May House/Dog sitting for Torsten and Mary Schmid.

    ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

    President

  • ~In January of 2004, I began a small Japanese Anime club where we'd get together, watch different anime series, draw, and generally have fun! I've been the club president ever since, and we are now branching out, with a planned mini-group at TRU this fall. We're also planning our own convention for early June 2006! We also have our own radio show Sunday afternoons from 3-4 PM {Pacific Time} at the local radio station "THE X," 92.5 FM up at the University.

    Drawing/Cartooning

  • ~As I mentioned earlier, I am trying to get a comic strip published. I have enjoyed drawing for a long time, particularly in the Japanese Manga style. I have been honing my skills for about 8 years now, and still going strong!

    Writing

  • ~Writing is a passion of mine, and I adore mysteries. Hopefully one day I can work one into one of my comics!

    Dancing

  • ~While I attended Sir James Laugheed, my principal taught line dancing, jive, and East Coast Swing, and Ive held onto it ever since. I enjoy it thoroughly, and Ive taught dancing as an assistant. As a group, we would travel to places such as malls and schools on dance demonstrations. Now, I am looking into Stage Dance, and Jazz Dance, as I am a big fan of the Japanese Sailor Moon Musicals, and I like their style. I would like to do some stage acting/dancing one day.

    INTERESTS

I have adored anim ever since I saw my first one Samurai Pizza Cats dubbed on YTV. My favourite though is Sailor Moon. It is because of this that I began drawing so much. I like acting, and Japanese; hence why I wanted to take Japanese in College. Im not a professional singer of any sort, but I do enjoy it once in a while. Like I said, I also love dance, and writing as well.

    ...Amateur Voice Acting...

In 2001, my friends and I were involved in a single episode dubbing of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars as a school project for our Creative Expressions class. I provided Seiya (Star Fighter) and the demon (Sailor Sommolier)'s voices. It was incredibly fun, and I now have a great respect for the voice actors out there who spend so much time preparing for a role. I had so much fun, and would just love to do it again!

    Radio Play: 'The Witches'

  • I played as Jon. So far there have only been two scripts, but I have a sneaky suspicion that it's finished.
