Heart Of Darkness
The Awakening Of The Onyx Star
L.S.R.C
For thousands of years a legend has been passed down from the people of Thesalis...
A legend that tells of a child that will be the end, or a new beginning.
The child with the mysterious eyes will carry the key...
The key of which destiny depends upon.
Deep within the heart of a child will be a treasure that possesses great power...
This power may bring life, or death and destruction.. the end.
A time will come when this child must find love.
Only then will the world be saved.
If the child of destiny never finds love, it will be corrupted with the darkness...
Death is this child's gift. Its sacrifice will bring new life.
A dark and terrible fate will fall upon the Earth. The beginning of the end.
Although, a greater power may save all.
Heart Of Darkness is a story of hatred, love, betrayal, and destiny. A young warrior trying to piece together his past, and save a kingdom, and an amazing young woman trying to find her place in life, and find her true identity.
Our story takes place in a large kingdom called Thesalis. War is in the midst of the realm, and it is a time of much hatred and fear. One alliance called the Dragon Wing Alliance, AKA- DWA, is trying to keep peace in the realm, while Kasuka Inc. a very powerful organization controlled by Vulcan is trying to destroy the kingdom, and bestow darkness upon the land. One problem though.. Although Kasuka controls many strong artillery factories and their machinery is the finest, their men are not powerful enough to take on the DWA. The DWA's alliance consists of four races. The Mizuri, Zephyra, Calathea  and human. Mizuri are a race of fish-like beings who live in Sandstone Ocean and Lake Crystalis. The Zephyra are a race of rock like creatures that live on Mt. Firestorm. The Calathea live in Oakanika Meadow, and are imps. The main members of the DWA are those of the human race.
Dagon Armstrong is a buff arrogant, sexist male who is the over all leader of the alliance. Von Shields is second in command, and is a very skilled swordsman. Von seems to be a very tough fighter and is loyal to his friends, but also is very dense at times. Toru Brooks is a spitfire brunette that is very well organized, and uses other people to get what she wants. In this case she seems to want Von. She fights in hand-to-hand combat only. Jade Okami is an old friend of Von's and is somewhat the brains behind the DWA. She is extremely intelligent. Her attacks are defensive rather than offensive. Marle Archesis is the youngest member, and also one of the most stubborn. Marle is last to join the alliance, and also has a talent for picking pockets.. She is very swift and sly. Marle uses arrows and a boomerang to fight.
Vulcan's best two warriors are Kaos Eviblade and Shadow Nightwind. Kaos is very cold hearted and cruel. He is a very tough fighter and will do almost anything to please his master Vulcan. Both Kaos and Shadow grew up together, and also suffered though much pain. Kaos is stubborn, and also very dense at times. He doesn't seem to have much of a personality and is a real jerk. At first he seems to care for nothing but himself and his pride, but later on somehow he changes. Shadow isn't cruel, but is cold hearted. She is very solid and never shows weakness, but shows a lot of rage and aggression. Shadow lost her parents when she was young, and had her whole life taken from her. She grew up very much alone, and her hatred overtakes her more and more with the coming of age. Shadow seems tough and solid, but is mostly lost. She can't forget about her painful childhood, and it torments her all through her life. After she met Kaos they were both kidnapped by Kasuka and injected with the XD3 formula, a very dangerous chemical. When Shadow and Kaos' blood were tainted, they were given a strange power. This formula wasn't just any dangerous chemical...XD3 was a mixture of human cells as well. Cells that has been genetically altered, and programmed to attack any other blood cells. When the two were injected, these unstable cells took over their bodies, multiplied rapidly and took on an unnatural super strength. The scientists that designed and altered the cells, had hopes of creating humans with super strength. XD3 apparently worked, but was only activated when the body took on anger. By becoming raged the cells absorbed the energy, and it would trigger the power. Somewhere during the story Shadow discovers that her and Kaos were not the only ones injected with XD3. Another child had been injected to see if it would work, and Vulcan himself later on injected himself, taking on great power as well. XD3 was very unstable, but somehow Shadow and Kaos survived the changes. The only strange thing about XD3 was that the chemicals left an odd marking on the body, that would only appear when the XD3 was triggered.
After Shadow and Kaos were injected they escaped from the Kasuka chemical plant. They were too young to control the power, and afterwards destroyed all traces of the plant and the XD3 formula. Vulcan then found the children and convinced them that he was the only one who could help them, because he too had XD3 in his blood. Vulcan offered to take them under his wing if they swore an oath to him, and became part of Kasuka. Both never found out who was responsible for injecting them. Neither knew that it was Vulcan's doing in the first place. Not having much of a choice they agreed to join with Vulcan. Vulcan taught Kaos and Shadow to use their hatred and power for evil, and also trained them to fight. Both of them became so clouded with hatred, and bloodthirsty that they forgot who they were. Kaos' goal was to stay on Vulcan's side for the time being and after he fully learns to control his power, destroy Vulcan, and take the whole Kasuka army for himself. Shadow's goal was to get revenge on all that had done her wrong, and to find out her true purpose in life. Later on in the game Shadow discovers her emptiness is the power inside her calling. It turns out Shadow's mysterious past has a lot more to it to it than there seems to be. What you see, isn't always what you get.
Throughout the game Vulcan searches for an ancient treasure called the Onyx Star. Reading the prophecy of an old book he discovers that he can take control of the kingdom without having to cause war after all between Kasuka and the DWA. If he were to obtain the Onyx Star, he could easily overcome anything. He would be granted the power to destroy the Earth, or create a new realm suited to his desire. Vulcan then decides he will use Kaos and Shadow as his puppets to find the crystal, knowing that they most likely will be killed trying to find it. He grants them the mission of the search, their orders being to find the Onyx Star at any cost. Kaos and Shadow are thrilled to be given such a difficult task at first, but then they realize just how high the stakes are. The DWA catches on to Kasuka's plan, and then decide to find the Onyx Star themselves. The only problem is that the stone lives within a human heart. How can they possibly track it down?
The DWA then discovers there is a Goddess named Leana who can summon the stone, and awaken the Child of Destiny. The DWA travels to Leana's temple and awakens her from her long imprisonment in the temple. They then meet her, and ask for her help, but it turns out she refuses to summon the child of destiny, even if she is in their debt. Von explains that if she doesn't help them Vulcan will surely find the child, and obtain the Onyx Star. The DWA then explains Vulcan's intentions to destroy everything. Leana decides to help the DWA, but she cannot do it without the help of three other Gods. She explains that she can only summon the stone if she has the power of her fellow Gods to call upon the stone's power. The only thing is that the other three Gods live in different corners of the kingdom each one trapped in their own temple. In order for her to call upon the Onyx Star, she needs the help of her fellow Gods of Law. Only one member of the DWA should take on the task of releasing the other Gods. Each of these Gods holds the power of an element, and because they have been imprisoned by the Lords of Chaos, they need a special weapon to defeat them, one of which is also forged by the Lords Of Chaos.
Leana then states that in order to set the other Gods free, they must find the Sword of Sorrow. The DWA decides that Von is the best candidate for the mission because he is the strongest, and bravest. Leana then grants Von a magic spell to protect him, and sends him on his journey. Von must defeat the three Lords of Chaos in the elemental temples and awaken the other three Gods. Shortly after Von begins his journey, Marle finds him and states she will be his partner, refusing to let him get all the glory. Von agrees to let Marle assist him. At this time Kaos and Shadow are having their own problems...
Kaos and Shadow catch on to the DWA's plans and then decide to steal the stone for themselves, once Von has reunited the four Gods. They decide to sit back and let him do all the work. Kaos can't wait to return to Kasuka with the stone and take control. Shadow isn't sure if abusing the stone's power is a good idea and questions Kaos. Kaos threatens her not to dare leave his side, but Shadow realizes how wrong their plan is, and refuses to help him. Things between these two chars are strange because they seem to argue a lot, but there is a lot of sexual tension between the two. Kaos is very cruel and abusive to Shadow at times, but actually does care for her. Shadow cares for Kaos, but refuses to be a part of such evil. The first thing that comes to mind when you see these chars together is lust. Shadow and Kaos then battle, Kaos refusing to let Shadow leave Kasuka. Shadow then vanishes during the battle and disappears. Kaos being totally frustrated with Shadow's sudden change in heart continues to stalk Von, deciding to make his journey even more difficult by setting traps and such for him. Shadow then lurks in the shadows keeping an eye on Von and Marle. She then meets a great white wolf one day while following Von and Marle through Oakanika. The wolf claims that because the Onyx Star's power is starting to awaken, the balance of power between the Gods of Chaos and Law has shifted. Shiro Wolfe, as he is called, is an actual deity who was chosen to seek the child of destiny. Because of the shift in the elemental balance, as well as the balance of power between Law and Chaos, he is powerless on Earth, until they find the Onyx Star and set things back to normal. Shadow finds it hard to believe this wolf, and gets a strange vibe from his presence. Shiro feels odd asking this mortal for help, but feels drawn to her somehow, because he has the feeling Shadow has a great hidden power. Shadow and Shiro, bearly knowing anything about each other, then decide to become partners and put everything in order, thus returning peace to Thesalis.
Von and Marle go off to Mt. Kanika in search of the Sword of Sorrow, and the DWA remain at Leana's temple. After doing a task for the people of Mt. Kanika and restoring peace they give him the hilt of the sword. Von and Marle are enraged that they only gave them a piece of the sword, but then the Jasparus explain that the sword had broken into three parts hundreds of years ago. Apparently each race in Thesalis held a piece of this sword as their sacred treasure. So to make a long story short, they end up going to the forest and ocean as well to collect the other two pieces of sword. The last piece they obtain from the Cascadous, and when all three parts are brought together, a magical song is played to forge them into the Sword of Sorrow once again. Afterwards they go off in search of the temples.
When Von and Marle reach the fire temple, they first meet Kaos Eviblade. Kaos then warns Von that he better watch his back, and with that they battle. Von looses, but Kaos does not kill him. Kaos just playing around with him, then vanishes after wards. After Von and Marle destroy the Chaos Lord in the temple, they release the Fire God. The Fire God Dyn thanks Von and Marle, and then gives them each a new weapon to help them in their quest. When they exit the temple they hear the echo of someone laughing from overhead. As they look up into a tree Shadow back-flips out of it, landing perfectly in front of them, Shiro doing the same. Von having no idea who she is stares blankly. Shadow gives a cold stare and slowly walks towards Marle and Von. Marle takes a step behind Von peeking out at Shadow from behind him.
Shadow congratulates the two on their victory, and warns them to steer clear of Kaos. Shadow then explains Kasuka's plans in great detail, and assures them that the stakes are much higher than they seem. After listening in astonishment they ask Shadow about herself, and her intentions. Shadow doesn't give her name or purpose. With that she bows and back-flips into the air, vanishing along with Shiro. Von and Marle are then left to wonder if she is friend or foe.
After this scene with Shadow and Von we see Kaos watching in the shadows. He watched Shadow as she betrayed Kasuka by revealing Vulcan's plans. With that Kaos clenches his fists and fades out into the darkness, raged by her actions. Kaos then returns to Vulcan's quarters and tells of Shadow's betrail. Vulcan becomes extremely pissed off and starts trashing the quarters. Vulcan grabs Kaos by the collar of his trench coat and demands that he find Shadow and destroy her before she causes more trouble for Kasuka. Kaos questions his orders, and suggests that they just forget about her because she's a woman and poses no threat. Vulcan then become twice as mad and slashes Kaos across the jaw-line twice leaving a warped x shape scar on his face. Kaos then nods after his thrashing, and leaves to find Shadow and the mysterious Shiro. At this time, Kaos is still pretending to be faithful to Vulcan, until he has found the Onyx Star.
After Von and Marle leave Mt. Kanika the two travel to Oakanika to find the forest temple. During the time in which they search, the main members of the DWA leaves Leana's temple to return to their base. Just as they return Kasuka's Blackbirds F.A.F.T flies overhead and bombs the base, destroying 3 quarters of the base. All of the DWA alliance is killed, except for the main members of the DWA, Dagon Armstrong, and the youngest member of Eagle Claw F.A.F.T, Tray Redwing. Jade and Toru dig through the burning rubble after the Blackbirds leave, trying to find survivors. Eventually the only survivors they found were Dagon, and Tray. Realizing that they have no place to go, the remaining members of the DWA seek refuge in Leana's temple. Leana is shocked when she is told of the horrible incident, and heals both Dagon, and Tray.
By this time Kaos doesn't know what to do. As Von and Marle wander in search of the next temple, Shadow and Shiro lurk in the shadows following them closely. Kaos spots Shadow, while also tracking Von, and suddenly sneaks up behind her. Shiro then attacks Kaos knocking him to the ground. As the two struggle, Shadow tells Shiro to step down. Shiro then leaps off Kaos and stands by Shadow's side. Kaos then stands up straightening out his trench coat collar. Shadow then draws her eviblade ready to see if he will attack her. After making a rude remark about her new "pet" Kaos explains that he isn't going to harm her. Shadow being careful takes a step back away from him. Kaos steps up close to her, almost right up against her, and stares down at her. She looks up at him for a moment, Kaos then looking away coldly. He then tells her that Vulcan is out to destroy her, and that his orders are to dispose of her. Kaos then offers her one more chance to live, by helping him find the Onyx Star so that the two of them can take control of Kasuka. Shadow refuses his offer, Shiro watching the two carefully. Kaos then grabs her arms and pins her up against a wall so she is unable to move. In anger he starts yelling at her to stop being so foolish, because he doesn't wish to kill her. Shiro snarls and then leaps at Kaos, viscously tearing at his leg. Kaos falls back, and Shadow then grabs the hilt of her eviblade and stands over Kaos, the blade to his throat as Shiro steps back. Shadow warns Kaos not to interfere in matters he does not understand. Kaos lies on the ground under her, glaring up at her. Slowly Shadow lowers herself down onto him and pins his arms to the ground so he is unable to move. Kaos not knowing how to react just lies there, as Shadow threatens him coldly. Kaos, still raged, looks in to her dark violet eyes a moment. Strangely enough as he peers into her eyes, he cannot see his reflection in them. Shadow's dark violet eyes seem to flicker black a moment with rage. Kaos then begins to think that either she is the chosen one, or the trigger of the XD3 in her blood has caused some strange reaction. Shadow then notices the puzzled look on Kaos' face, and then releases him. Shadow and Shiro then dash off suddenly, disappearing from sight. Something changes in Kaos at that moment, and he begins to question his thoughts, his feelings towards Shadow, and his plans.( This is a very important scene!! At this time a slight twist occurs in the story because feelings change, as well as intentions)
L.S.R.C
** Skipping through details, Shadow basically continues helping the DWA and they assume she is a friend. Von begins to have feelings for Shadow the more they talk and meet, and tries to get her to join the DWA. Vulcan becomes more impatient, and tension builds for the members of the DWA, who still wait in Leana's temple. As the Onyx Star's power grows, the land becomes more sinister, and ghouls and monsters appear all over the kingdom because the powers of Chaos are growing stronger, and effecting the balance of power between Law and Chaos even more so. As the land changes, so does Shadow. As hatred and frustration fills her, she begins to be corrupted by the darkness. Shiro notices the changes in her and becomes very worried, starting to wonder if the strength he felt in her was the power of the Onyx Star. He does not tell Shadow of his suspicions however, so she is left in fury and frustration, mostly upset because she still does not know her purpose, and Kaos seems to have greatly upset her, because she had feelings for him, and now they are enemies. **
At this point in time, Vulcan discovers that the main members of the DWA are at Leana's temple. Vulcan knows of Von's plans as well to reunite the Gods, and plans on getting all of the DWA together, then crushing them.( A storm then starts) Once Von has the Sword of Sorrow, and he and Marle set the other three Gods: Ryu, Dyn, and Kumori free, they make their way back to Leana's temple to help the Gods perform the incantation that will awaken the Child of Destiny and summon the Onyx Star. As Von and Marle approach the front of the temple, Shadow and Shiro appear out of no where as a clash of lightning and thunder is heard overhead, the rain pouring down very hard as the wind picks up. Von is happy to see Shadow, and assumes she is there to aid them, but Marle notices that Shadow looks different, more sinister and cold. Von steps forward to greet her, but Marle grabs Von's arm in alarm and pulls him back. Shadow sneers and draws her eviblade directing the tip of the blade directly at Von as she narrows her dark violet eyes. Von sees that she has changed, and notices that her eyes flicker black. Shiro is still Shadow's partner, but doesn't know whether she is the chosen one or not, so he is cautious of her actions. Von steps back to where Marle is, and questions Shadow. Shadow explains that she finally understands her place, and that she has now devoted her life to controlling the Earth, and letting the power of Chaos build more and more.
She tells them that she realizes that she is one with this Earth, and as Chaos grows stronger so does she. As she speaks of her intentions the power inside her pulsates rapidly, because she has the power of the Onyx Star inside her, (which she still doesn't know about, nor does anyone else) and the XD3 in her blood. As she stands there in fighting stance, Von draws the Sword of Sorrow in defense, and as they are about to fight, Kaos appears on the scene and tackles Shadow to the ground, knocking her eviblade from her hands. Shiro growls assuming Kaos is going to hurt her, and attacks Kaos. Kaos' leg is bitten by Shiro as Kaos in on top of Shadow, with her pinned to the ground by her wrists. Von gets ready to attack Kaos also, but then Kaos cries out, explaining to them that he's not going to hurt her, but save her. Shiro steps down and goes to Von's side while Marle stands behind Von terrified. Von grabs Marle by the arm and tells her to get into the temple, so Marle dashes inside the building. Kaos explains to Shiro and Von that during an encounter with Shadow her realized that there was something strange about her eyes, and then he remembered the prophecy. He then pins Shadow harder to the ground as she thrashes around, and tells them that she is definitely the key, and that her heart carries the Onyx star. Von is upset and then yells at Kaos in rage, saying that he is a liar, but Shiro steps infront of Von and explains that he also noticed an abrupt extreme change in her. As the storm carries on Shadow growls in rage trying to shove Kaos off of her.
Kaos then strikes her right cheek as hard as he can and knocks her unconscious. Kaos gets off of her as Shiro and Von watch, Kaos then explaining that they must hide her from Vulcan somehow. We then see that Vulcan has been observing this through a mirror in his quarters, and then he casts a summoning spell to bring the four to his quarters. ( Vulcan casts the spell and the four appear there in their current position) As the three look around and realize they've been teleported Vulcan appears and introduces himself, and is furious because they have messed up all his plans. Vulcan draws his sword and then charges directly at Von. Von steps back, his sword still in hand and the two battle. Shiro doesn't know what to do, so he observes the battle getting ready to back Von up. Kaos holds Shadow tightly in his arms, and sighs, a small tear rolling down his cheek. He repeatedly whispers he's sorry, then kisses her forehead. Shadow stirs, and isn't quite as aggressive, still feeling a bit dizzy. Shadow looks up at Kaos realizing he kissed her, and Kaos sees that she is awake. The darkness in Shadow fades for a while, as she suddenly is taken by an unfamiliar emotion.
During this, back at Leana's temple Marle explains everything to the DWA. Leana and the other Gods take on human form and they and the DWA decide to carry on with the spell, so that they can obtain the Onyx Star and destroy it before Shadow can awaken as the Deity of Darkness, and destroy everything. Once the stone is destroyed, Shadow's body dies along with it. The DWA watch as the four Gods of Law, Leana, Dyn, Ryu and Kumori join hands and start to chant the spell. Von continues to battle Vulcan, and then as rage fills Von, a familiar symbol appears on his shoulder, and the XD3 in his blood is triggered, granting him super strength as well! Shiro, Shadow, and Kaos see this, and then realize that Von was the fourth to be injected with XD3. The battle becomes even more intense now as Von's strength matches Vulcan's. Kaos holds Shadow tightly and apologizes for his actions, and explains that he now sees he was wrong. Shadow is surprised to hear this, and notices at that moment that Kaos seems rather emotional, and not cold anymore. Kaos closes his eyes and takes her hand holding it to his cheek as he cries a bit. Both say that they love eachother, and they share in a passionate kiss.
Von and Vulcan are both incredibly weak after fighting and Vulcan is pierced through the stomach with Von's sword, causing him to double over in pain, blood pouring onto the floor. Von falls back against one of the pillars in the hall and catches his breath, then seeing Shadow and Kaos. Shiro sits at Von's side making sure he's alright. Vulcan lies on the floor a while, so they assume he is dead. Shadow and Kaos' kiss break, and Vulcan suddenly rises and grabs his sword, lunging himself towards Kaos' back. Von and Shiro cry out for Kaos and Shadow to watch out, but too late... Kaos sees the attack coming and wraps himself tight around Shadow protecting her, then being pierced through his back, directly through his heart.
Kaos eyes widen and then he cries out in pain, then dying. Shadow cries out in woe, her eyes filled with tears, and at the moment she cries out Kaos' name the Gods of Law finish the summoning incantation, the Onyx Star awakening inside of her. Shadow screams as a bright light fills the room, Von and Shiro shield their eyes, and Vulcan falls backwards, still alive. Because Shadow had found love before the Onyx Star awoke, the power of Chaos that was in the dark stone purified, thus healing Shadow fully as it awoke, instead of killing her. The stone forces itself from her body, a golden chain then forming and latching itself to the Onyx Star. Shiro, Vulcan, and Von then watch in astonishment. Shadow then closes her eyes and throws her head back in agony, as her body changes into it's deity form. He long black hair slowly turns a snow white, the tips of her hair still having some black, and the XD3 is purged from her body, the symbol on her left wrist vanishing.
As she changes into her deity form the blinding white light fades and dies out, a strange marking much like Kaos' scar appearing along the left side of her jaw-line. Her trench coat vanishes, and instead she wears a white ceremonial robe with markings, gold bracelets with strange patterns appearing on her upper arms. She finally stands in full deity form. Shiro and Von rise slowly, staring at Shadow in astonishment. Vulcan trembles severely in fear of Shadow, then backs up more, rising from off the floor as he cringes in pain. Shadow's dark violet eyes open, and become somewhat of a cloudy gray violet. The Onyx Star, now being on a gold chain, latches itself around Shadow's neck, the black stone reflecting the colors of the rainbow as the light shines on it. By the stone latching itself to Shadow the three who observe realize that she is without a doubt the keeper of the Onyx Star, and the Deity of Darkness.
As Shadow stands there in her deity form she seems to glow slightly. Shadow then narrows her eyes in anger and tells Vulcan what a horrible and foolish person he is, and that he should never underestimate anyone's power as he did hers. With that she takes the Onyx Star from around her neck, and it floats in her palm as she holds her hand out. The stone then moans softly, then lets out a high pitch shriek, causing the hall to shake and tremble with the loud cry. The stone then takes in Vulcan's soul. After the stone does this, Vulcan's soul is imprisoned in the Realm of Shadows, his energy being fed through the stone to Shadow's body, giving her strength as she is slightly weak from the transformation. The Onyx Star hangs back around Shadow's neck, and with that she collapses. Von and Shiro dash towards her to help her up, but then suddenly they are teleported to Leana's temple. The DWA are overwhelmed with joy to see Von again and welcome him back. Shiro sits at Shadow's side as she is on her knees, trembling, back in her normal mortal form, wearing the same trench coat and attire from before, but still having the snow white hair. The DWA then turn to see the Four Elemental Gods of Law speak to Shadow. Shadow raises her head and slowly rises in their presence. Kumori, Goddess of Water first speaks to her and explains that she is now one of them, the Deity of Darkness. Leana, Goddess of Light and Wind, tells her that she is glad that Shadow found love before the dark power of Chaos could take her life. Dyn God of Fire, explains that she carries the power of all four elements and the power to contain darkness. Ryu, God and Dragon Spirit of the Earth, then tells her that it is her decision to join them. She can stay mortal on Earth, or become an Elder God like them. Shadow shakes her head and then says that she would rather live her life on Earth. Leana steps forward and hugs Shadow. Leana then states that Shadow knows her purpose. Because she has chosen to remain on Earth, she will stay mortal, but she must still carry the Onyx Star, because she is forever it's keeper. She will never again be able to transform into her deity form, but will still hold the power that the stone gives her. The four Gods wish her luck, and then thank Von and Marle.
The rest of the DWA is stunned, having met Shadow for the first time, not knowing what to think. With that, the four Gods turn back into their true forms and vanish into the midsts of their temples. As the four Gods exit, Shiro then looks upon Shadow. The DWA stand and stare at Shadow and Shiro, no one knowing what to say. Shadow and Shiro run out of the temple as the sun rises, casting a glittering light over the healed earth. Von and the DWA then run out after them. Von calls out to Shadow, and she stops dead in her tracks, turning to face him. Von then steps up to Shadow and asks her to join the DWA, so that they can keep peace in Thesalis together. Shadow refuses his offer and shakes her head. Von then gives Shadow the Sword of Sorrow as a gift between friends then. Shadow accepts the sword, and the Onyx Star then looses the golden chain and latches itself to the hilt of the sword. The rest of the DWA then step forward to greet Shadow, but her and Shiro slowly back away from them, the sun now risen fully. The blossoms on the trees outside the temple glitter, and the earth is now a new, the kingdom being back to normal. The DWA: Von Shields, Marle Archesis, Toru Brooks, Jade Okami, Dagon Armstrong, and Tray Redwing watch as
Shadow Nightwind and Shiro Wolfe back away, and spring high into the air like a bolt of lightning vanishing, left to wonder if they shall ever meet again.
