Biography
Eternal Nemesis is the brainchild of "World's Most Dangerous Bassist" Mark McAnaney.  Mark's basslines are an uncompromising and devastating blend of jazz fusion, classical influence, metal and old school funk, as well as a lot of experimental tricks.  Being in and out of countless bands, such as Divine Beings (early 2002), the mighty Akeldama (2002-2003), thrash band WTF (2002-2003),  the brutal Acheron (early2005), and the bizarre Ass Lava (2006-2008) he decided to strike out on his own as a solo artist under the name Eternal Nemesis around mid 2005.
Sceptical at first about its success, the Eternal Nemesis project was nearly scrapped several times, but when the single "A Lower Level" was released in the fall of 2005, it received many good reviews and brought in a small local fanbase, of which craved for more.
Next came a wicked full length album in April of 2006 entitled "Persistence Of Insanity" featuring guest musicians Ray Zalewski, Frank Davidavage, and Zach Campbell.  This first long anticipated album went through many pushed back release dates, but finally, when it was released, it unleashed a fury all over the internet on several underground metal sites and broke ground all over the world through UK radio, and became an underground success.
After this, a second record was started called "Antipathy" but was never released.  Mark lost touch with the project and no longer wished to do it, as he has evolved onto much bigger and better things.  As a way of saying goodbye to Eternal Nemesis, "Atrocious Extras" was released in early 2007.  It is a compilation of all the unreleased/some uncompleted material, with Rob "Juggernaut" Reinoehl as a guest musician.  This release is only available online.
Currently, Mark McAnaney is doing a self named solo project encompassing experimental jazz fusion/funk/metal and classical elements.  It can be found at www.myspace.com/markmcananey.  Current news can be found there.  Also, a new jazz metal band called Roadhead (late 2007-present) is in the works!
