Dual is an anime that centers around a young
boy named Kazuki who has an abnormal ability that allows him to see into
a parallel universe much like his own except for one tiny detail and that
is that in his parallel world there are giant Mecha's fighting a war.
Due to his uh "special" ability Kazuki's classmates tend to see him as
a freak and most shun him. Kazuki soon meets the most popular girl
in school Mitsuki who seems very interested in him and his "visions".
Mitsuki takes Kazuki to see her mad scientist of a father who explains
to Kazuki that his visions are real and then inadvertently sends Kazuki
and his own daughter to this parallel world.
| When Kazuki wakes up he is alone and in a world
that seems devoid of all human life at least until he views another one
of his "visions" that turns out to be all too real. Seeing a giant
Mecha being struck down Kazuki goes to see if the pilot is injured and
ends up having to pilot the Mecha to save himself and the unconscious pilot
from death |
