Crafting and GuildsBy applying for becoming a disciple at each guild, you are recognized as a member of the guild. You can join as many guilds as you like without limitation. There are great advantages being a member of the guild. They are the only ones that can promote you, allowing you to further your skill, but your guild will also provide you with appropriate recipes and image support.
Synthesis Image SupportOnce you've become a member of a guild, you will have the option of acquiring synthesis image support. This is a temporary enhancement to your skills that improves chances of successful item creation. There are a few NPC's in each guild that will provide this support, but only one gives the advanced synthesis image support (better support for a small price).
Choosing the DayFor best success in synthesis, try to synth on the day that is strong to the crystal you are using, such as synthing on Earthsday when using earth crystals. For best results (HQ) try synthing on the day that is weak to the crystal you are using, such as synthing on Earthsday when using wind crystals. Your chances of a successful result will be noticeably improved. Likewise, synthing on the opposite day of the crystal you are using will have a negative effect and decrease chances of success, though you will have a better chance of making a high quality synth then (better quality item or increased yield). Other factors that may contribute to a HQ synth are the moon phase, your skill level, and the number of times you try the same synth in a row.Thunder > Water > Fire > Ice > Wind > Earth > Thunder
Breaking Skill CapsYour skill will become capped at every 10 levels in each craft. If you wish to advance your skill further you must break this cap by visiting your guild to receive a promotion test. This test requires that you bring a requested item to an NPC in the guild and will be available as early as 2 levels before each cap.
A few notes on guild points1. You need 28 or higher crafting/fishing skills to participate in the quest.2. You can only contract one Guild at a time. 3. When contracting with other Guild(s), the point of Guild under contract returns to 0. 4. HQ Crystals and equipment of 1,500 points will be added to the item list when you have 28 or higher crafting/fishing skills. 5. Equipment of 70,000 points will be added to the item list when you have 48 or higher crafting/fishing skills. 6. Equipment of 100,000 points will be added to the item list when you have 68 or higher crafting/fishing skills. 7. Furniture of 150,000 points will be added to the item list when you have 88 or higher crafting/fishing skills. 8. The test item you are given is based on your crafting rank. You will never be given a test item greater than your current crafting rank. NOTE: Your crafting rank is based on which promotion tests you have taken, not your skill. Therefore, if you take the promotion test for 50 at level 48, the recipes for rank 51-60 will be the highest you see during the guild contract quest. 9. Each day's test item has a trivial one rank (11-20, 21-30, 31-40, etc.) higher than the previous day test item, unless the next rank would be too high relative to your current skill. In that case, the trivial of the test item drops starts over at rank 1. 10. The test item you are given will change each earth day at 11:00 am EST. The test item can also change if you take a promotion test. 11. How many crafting points (CP) you receive for a given test item is relative to sale price of the item to an NPC. The more vendor will pay, the more crafting points you will get for each turn-in. 12. The total amount of crafting points you can earn in a day is relative to both the sale price of the test item and the rank of the item's trivial. In general, you will be able to earn more crafting points in a day with a higher trivial test item.
