Oooh, looks like someone got lucky!

Heero blatantly ignores Duo as he takes his place at the table, picking up the
newspaper and hiding behind it. Id woken up before he had and luckily, none of
the others were up yet. I wasnt too sure if hed want me hanging around after
last night, so I decided to give him a little time alone to sort things through
while I went downstairs to take care of breakfast. I was the one who always
cooked, mainly because I was the only one who could.

Wufei was the first to come downstairs, Quatre following shortly after
blinking the sleep from his eyes. Amazingly, it wasnt Duo who had been the last
to get up, that honour had gone to Heero. He had stumbled downstairs in his
usual tank top and shorts, which had surprised me somewhat as the bruises on his
neck and shoulder were clearly visible. Id have thought hed at least try and
hide them, thats the part that had me so confused. Or maybe he *wanted* them to
be seen. But that didnt make sense. Maybe he just didnt care.

Whatever the reason, it was a struggle for me to remain as expressionless as
always when the love of my life was sitting just a few feet away, the markings
that had come courtesy of my own mouth plain as day. Im starting to wish Id
stayed until hed woken up. Maybe it pissed him off when he woke up to find that
I wasnt there beside him. To be honest, I had been afraid to stay in case he
decided that it had all been a mistake, that he had regretted the whole thing.
He hadnt even looked my way since he arrived, which may have been a clue to how
he was feeling that morning.

I glance over my shoulder to see Heero buried behind the newspaper. At least
he isnt ignoring only me; he isnt paying attention to any of the other pilots
either. Duo doesnt seem to get the message though.

Who gave you those hickeys, Heero? he asks, a wicked grin on his face. He
reaches over to yank the newspaper out of Heeros hands so he can get a better
look. Heero gives him a glare that would stop anybody in their tracks, but the
fact that hes currently blushing doesnt make him seem too threatening.

Whats this? Duo crows, making me cringe. The Perfect Soldier is blushing!
He breaks into a fit of laughter, almost doubling over in his seat.

Shut up, Duo, Heero growls as he makes a somewhat futile attempt to cover
the side of his neck with one hand.

So, who was it then, Heero? Duo pushes.

None of your God damn business.

Was it Relena?

*Relena*? he chokes out sounding shocked and I resist the urge to laugh out
loud at that one.

Okay, so it wasnt her, Duo continues, noticing Heeros expression. Then
who was it?

Duo, leave Heero alone, I interrupt calmly. Besides, I think hes suffered
enough embarrassment for one day. I quickly serve breakfast then sit down at the
table, hoping the food will distract Duo from his endless questions. No such
luck.

Do *you* know who Heero was with? Duo queries leaning closer to me. I just
stare back impassively, not bothering to reply. Ahh, youre not saying
anything! That means you must know something. Come on, Tro, you can tell me, he
pleads, getting out of his seat. You know Heero wont spill the juicy details.

I still dont speak, as I know Duos deliberately goading Heero in an attempt
to get some answers. He knows Heero well enough to know that interrogating the
pilot of Wing is like drawing blood from a stone. You wont get anything out of
him unless hes willing to talk. So Duo switches tactics and his attention
elsewhere. Hes a lot smarter than people give him credit for, but it doesnt
make him any less annoying sometimes when hes in pursuit of something that he
wants.

Please, Trowa? You know something, I can tell. Duo wags his finger in front
of my face, but I just bat it away. He grins and lowers himself in my lap,
snaking an arm around my neck and I stiffen slightly. Now that was something I
wasnt expecting.

Both of us look up in shock when Heero jumps to his feet, almost knocking the
table over. Get the Hell off of him! he snarls, clenching my fists and
breathing hard.

Duo quickly vacates my lap with a small eep, his eyes wide as he stares at
Heero in disbelief. Hey, calm down, Heero, he says, raising his hands in
apology. I was just having a bit of fun... His voice trails off suddenly and
his eyes dart back and forth between Heero and myself. I can almost see the
wheels turning in his brain and finally something clicks. You...youre with
Trowa? he gasps.

I sigh, not seeing the point in denying anything at this point. I lower my
head, letting my hair fall over my face so that I can see the other occupants of
the room, but they cant see me. Or at least my face anyway which is what I
want. As long as they cant see my expression, they wont be able to tell what
Im thinking and that suits me just fine.

Heero slowly sits back down, unclenching his hands and Im surprised to see
that hes shaking slightly. I dare a glance at the other pilots. I think Wufei
is more surprised by Heeros sudden outburst than what hes just discovered, but
Quatre...Im startled when I find him staring at me in what looks like betrayal.
His eyes are almost impossibly wide and it looks like hes fighting back tears.

Im trying to figure out why hes reacting in this way, when I suddenly
remember his request for my company yesterday. Id said yes and that Id see him
later on that evening, but Id completely forgotten about him when I stumbled
across Heero in the shower. Dammit, how could I have forgotten about Quatre? I
feel guilt over it, but also a little anger. I shouldnt feel obligated to let
anyone know where I am...well, maybe Heero. As much as I try and defend myself
though, I cant escape the fact that I let Quatre down. I know it was just a
little thing of playing our music together, but I still let him down, I hurt
him.

It doesnt look as though hes taking the news about Heero and I too well
either. How do I manage to get myself into these situations? Heeros pissed at
me for not being with him when he woke up, Quatres pissed at me because I
forgot about our duet last night and he also doesnt seem too happy with what
hes just found out.

Well, I guess you all know now. We all turn to stare at Heero who seems to
have calmed down somewhat. It wasnt the ideal way for you for you to find out,
but at least you know. He pauses for a moment and runs a hand through his
already mussed up hair. I would appreciate it if you didnt tell anyone about
this. This is between Trowa and myself. Trowa, Id like a word. He rises from
the table and exits the room and I follow, making sure not to look at anyone
else on my way.

Heero leads me to his room and locks the door once were both inside. He goes
to sit on the bed, but I stay by the door, uncertain of what he wants. I cant
read him right now, I cant tell if hes angry or upset, or just plain hates me
and I wrap my arms around myself protectively.

I woke up this morning and you werent there, he says softly and I nod
miserably. Why?

I dont reply straight away, but when I do, my voice is so quiet that I can
barely hear myself. I didnt think youd want me to be there, I tell him. I
thought you might need some space, some time alone to think about what happened
between us.

Thats it then? he asks with a frown.

I-I was scared, I whisper, looking away from him. I dont move, dont say
anything although I can hear him moving in my direction, feel his presence
standing right before me.

Why were you scared? he questions, standing only a few inches away from me.
Im disturbed by his close proximity and I hug myself tighter in response.

I thought maybe youd changed your mind, I finally reply. I thought you
might have regretted what we did. I just didnt know how youd react if you woke
up and saw me next to you, so I left.

Trowa. His voice is quiet and it sounds as though hes sad. I flinch when he
lifts a hand to touch my cheek. I wanted to wake up beside you. I wanted to know
that what we did yesterday was real and not just a dream. I just wanted to be
with you.

Startled by what hes just said, I raise my eyes to look at him. Hes staring
straight at me, his gaze unwavering. His hand moves to brush away my hair so
that he can see all of my face. Dont hide from me, Trowa, he murmurs. Not
now. Not after youve given me so much. He gently pulls my arms away and moves
closer to me, leaning into me and wrapping his arms around my neck. Im so
amazed by the fact that Heero is actively seeking comfort and from me no less
that I barely notice when my own arms loosely circle his waist. He sighs in
contentment and buries his face in the side of my neck, his hair tickling my
nose.

We just stand there for who knows how long, just drawing strength from each
other and finding comfort. Just being held by him is enough to make my worries
melt away and I tighten my hold on him. He makes a small noise in response,
nuzzling the collar of my turtleneck away so that he can press his lips against
my skin. He begins sucking lightly and I smile in the knowledge that hes
marking me just like I did him.

My body starts to shake with silent laughter and he looks up at me, his gaze
questioning. Heero, why didnt you cover up those hickeys I gave you earlier?
I ask suddenly.

I forgot they were there, he replies gruffly, the colour rising in his
cheeks. Duo was quick to remind me though.

So I noticed, I say with a smile.

Looks like Ill have to start raiding your wardrobe, he comments, tugging at
my collar. My smile fades slightly and hes quick to notice. Whats wrong? he
asks, looking concerned. I wont borrow your clothes if you dont want me to.

It isnt that, I tell him. I was just remembering about when I thought that
you might hate me.

Trowa, I could never hate you, he says solemnly. I love you. His eyes
widen as if he cant believe the words that have just come out of his mouth.

You do? I breathe.

He still looks surprised, but he nods once. Yeah. I do.

Well thats convenient because I love you too, I say shyly. The next thing I
know, Heeros lips are firmly locked on mine and I take that to mean hes
pleased with my answer. When we part, were both breathing hard and he rests his
forehead against mine.

Trowa? I dont think Ill ever tire of hearing him speak my name.

Hmm? I mumble.

Make love to me.

What? Heero, are you sure? I gasp. I didnt want to move things too fast and
I never expected that hed want more this soon.

Please dont make me beg, he whispers. He draws back a little to touch his
lips to my forehead. Prove it to me. Show me how much you love me.

I stare at him for a long minute before finally replying, Mission accepted.
