| When Utena was a small girl her parents died, and while she was grieving over their death, a prince on a white horse came by and embraced her. Giving her a ring with a rose ensignia on it, he told Utena that that ring would lead her back to him. Now in search of her prince, Utena decided to become a prince herself, and attended Otohori Academy, where little does she know her problems will begin. First, standing up for her friend Wakaba, Utena challenges vice president of the student council, Saionji, to a sword duel. But she didn't know that dueling at this academy was "big business"! Winning the duel, she finds herself a "duelist", a person eligable for canidade for the power to "revolutionize the world", her rose-ring re-ensuring it. So now, she's "engaged" to Anthy, the Rose Bride; supposedly the one from who you win the power. But more problems occur, like Anthy's older brother and headmaster, Akio, and other duelists such as Saionji, Jury, Miki, the strange Black Rose Duelists. But dark secrets lume about with the End of the World and the Rose Bride, and the World's Revolution lays in her hands! |
