It's a a great show aimed mostly toward girls. Sailor Moon is now known world wide and shown in over 10 different countries. Basicly it's the story of a girl named Usagi Tsukino (Serena in the english) who was the princess of the Moon Kingdom in the past, which was destroyed by Queen Beryl, and so now she's reborn in Tokyo, Japan as the brilliant fighter of love and justice: Sailor Moon! She is also the future wife of Mamoru (her present boyfriend and Tuxedo Mask),she becomes Neo Queen Serenity of Crystal Tokyo and mother of Usagi (known as Chibi-Usa so not to get confused with her mother's maiden name). Now with the help of her best friends- Rei (Sailor Mars), Ami (Sailor Mercury), Makoto (Sailor Jupiter), Minako (Sailor Venus), and Chibi-Usa (Sailor Chibi-moon)- she'll do everything in her power to defend the Earth from nasty villains like the NegaMoon Family.
Later in the 3rd season she gets more friends and scouts to help her out known as the 'outer senshi': Haruka (Sailor Uranus), Michiru (Sailor Neptune), Setsuna (Sailor Pluto), and Hotaru (Sailor Saturn)! Each of the outer senshi are much stronger than any of the inner senshi (Mars,Mercury,Jupiter,Venus), especially Sailor Saturn because her powers are great enough to destroy a whole planet and are feared by many. In the Stars Season, the last season of SM and by far the longest, they meet the cute Sailor Chibichibi Moon and the Star Lights, three sailors from another galaxy.
Sailor Moon has a total of 5 seasons and is very interesting to watch, unfortunately they took it off Toonami about a year ago but you can still buy Sailor Moon merchandice. |
