| Magic Knight Rayearth is the story of three girls: Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji, three students in the 8th grade who come from three different schools. But by fate all meet on the same day at Tokyo Tower for their school fieldtrips. Well, when they all glimpse at each other, a bright light fills the windows and a beautiful woman appears in the window and says,"Please, save with world of legenary magic knights!" and all of a sudden the three are falling from the sky in another world! They get saved by a creature of the Master Mage Clef, who tells them that they were summoned to Cephiro by Princess Emeraude, who is the Pillar of this world and is currently a prisoner of the High Priest Zagato; and can't return to their world until this one is saved. Now, following the legend, they recieve evolving armor and magic from Clef, then must go to the legendary spring of Eterna to collect the ore Escudo to have the Master Smith Presea create weapons that can only be used by them. Then with their magic armor and swords, they must revive the 3 Runegods (Mashins), but the journey will be full of conflicts and dangers. Through their journey they be-friend many of Zagato's minions and others, but also make powerful enemies. In the end, they must face a terrible truth about the true mission of the Magic Knights! |
