Foreword by Haji Nuradli Ridzwan Shah

I would like to quote Surah al-Baqarah, verse 261 ?#060;font color="#000080">The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: it groweth seven ears, and each ear Hath a hundred grains. Allah giveth manifold increase to whom He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things? Translation by Yusuf Ali.

Wealth planning, management and protection are important aspects in our life.  Many of us did not see that this is important because this topic is not taught in school.  We are not taught to manage our personal finance unless you take a degree in finance.  Even though you are a finance graduate, it does not guarantee that you could have a wealthy personal finance.

Your expenses might be more than your income, and your assets might be lesser than your liabilities.  Your net worth is negative. This is what the normal uneducated people personal balance sheet will look like. They will have negative net worth and the negative figures are becoming larger and larger as time passes by.

This is because they did not educate themselves with wealth planning, management and protection by attending courses or seminars or through reading. You need more than just education, You also need to discipline yourself especially in spending money.  We are not taught in school that when you receive your first income, you must save at least 10 percent from your income. Normally we will spend more than what we earn.  Well you have to take your family for a very big dinner because you feel that you earn to spend your income after years of hard work in schools and university not realizing that you will end up with debts and this is true when our financial system is based on compounding interest.

One of my researches is in the area of implementing gold Dinar as a currency, which is also related in wealth management and protection.  However gold Dinar is not within our capability to implement in our daily life because it involves with policy decision-making.  But one could buy gold as a mean of mediums of saving for diversification, for the payment of zakah and payment of dowry.

However, in this book the author has laid out the foundation for the Dinar to be taken in place in wealth planning, management and protection. I would like to give an analogy regarding the work of brother Aiman and the gold Dinar. The gold Dinar is just like a gold fish.  It needs an environment or a bowl full of water to survive. That environment is what we are looking for and it is not an easy part, a lot of work must be done and it is in the way of God (fisabilillah).

This is a very good reading material because I have read many books in personal finance such as written by Robert Kiyosaki and Azizi Ali but none satisfy the inner spiritual needs.  This work is an excellence job done by Brother Aiman.  It comprises both aspects, the needs for the worldly that we are living and the days hereafter too.

May Allah bless us all.
