Thursday started out in true Emily Style !!

I was in the shower at 9 getting all cleaned up and pretty to meet the Doc , looked down and saw that I was standing in water.. My drain is slow, but it aint that bad.. I knew something was way wrong.. Sure enough, the main drain backed up. I got outa the shower, before I could finish, called the house insurance people and had to wait by the phone for their contracted plumber to call..

By 10 Am no call and I had to leave to get my ass to Fresno !!  Needless to say, Sam and Darrel waited here for the plumber to call and come fix the problem, and I drove myself to the hospital !!    lol see told ya it was a True Emily Day !  sighs.. screams..

2 hours in the waiting/ prep room ( pre ops pre op where they put in the IV and all that crap )  then another 30 mins in the actual pre op room. ( where you see the Doc and the anesthesiologist and tell him what makes you sick. )   I saw Doc and he said this time its would be done, he was sure !!  lol  then I saw the Anst doc, and he explained what we were gonna do today.. Stick a tube up your nose and see whats going on in there, then well run the tube through your mouth that sends the air to you and makes you breathe, all while youre awake..  I laid in that bed thinking, Oh Joy, just GIVE ME DRUGS while you do all this, and Ill be just fine

They finaly wheeled me into the OR and started this tube thing.. The nose one hurt, even though he gave me a shit load of nose spray that made me all numb.. He talked to me the whole time and the last thing I remember was gagging on the mouth tube, him taking it back out, me saying, strong gag reflex, and then poof I was gone !! out like a light..  he musta known that it was going to fit, or he would never have put me to sleep..

How ever long later, I was woke up and I still had that dam tube down my throat. They said "just relax we have to wait for the doc".. Somehow I kept semi relaxed cause I didnt start getting sick with it..  They pulled it out, and back to sleep I went.. I have no clue how I got to my room, but I do remember the nurses asking, Is there anyone in the waiting room I said yea, if the plumber left my house, there should be
I was told that Hub kept tabs on me by phone, and then a little while later I saw him..

I wasnt wheeled into my room until 8, I guess that there was a bed shortage that day ( hell the OR waiting room was packed to over flowing, that I remember ) then I saw Darrel and Rob.. ( Rob brought Darrel so that he could take the car home )  Then Friday I saw D arrel and Sam.. lol     My poor roomie was sick as a dog, she had a hysterectomy and she started throwing up, all day, all night, she couldnt keep anything down but a little water..
I kept everything down, all 2 to 3 teaspoons of it.. Morning, noon and night , water , beef broth and jello. ! !!  Its ok though, Im home now and I can make more then just Red Jello !!  LOL

The only bad thing that happened to me while I was there was that every time I would doze off to sleep, either the dam IV alarm would go off, or the phone would ring.. lol  Its ok though, the most I can sleep in a hospital is 15 to 20 mins and with my not sleeping any longer, my roomie, didnt have to hear me snore.. LMAO

Oh and of course I had a drain tube in me, I ended up having a blow out with it twice.. I had to use my right side to get outa bed, and it was on the right, so I squished it a time or two or three but it only made a mess twice.. That was gross.. Laughing.. Yes I am ok now, Yes, the tube is gone now.. No more IVs no tubes, nothing but staples are in me, and the Doc takes those out at my next apt, Thursday.. I have 6 little incisions and thats it.. they arent too bad, and No I am not going to send anyone a pic of them, so dont ask..  lol
