An excellent hierarchical note taking program. I use this to keep track of research and ideas, and it works very well. It has the ability to create checklist, store code, images and other items. You can even encrypt your notes. There are also versions compatible with various versions of Linux and macOS.

A complete office Suite for free, including a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool and more. I highly recommend this as an alternative to Microsoft Office, it's even available for Linux and macOS as well.
