Kyouko Asaoka is a successful doctor with high salary. However, she is inexperienced in love. She went to Roman to look for another fellow doctor (Oikawa Mitsuhiro), but found out that she has mistaken about his liking for her. Both Kyouko and Mariko went to the church of love and a woman said that they would meet their love ones this year. Sadly, she returned to Japan. In the aeroplane, Fukuda Takuya has a terrible stomachache. Kyouko attended to him and he invited them to visit the resturant he works in.

Suga Eiichiro was in bed with a woman. He wanted to get the first hand information.

Kyouko and Mariko went to visit Fukuda and were invited to a concert by Yoshida. At the concert, They were bored until Yabuki said, "Life? It's for common people. Go fall in love!" His finger was pointing at Kyouko and it really hit a cord in both Kyouko and Mariko.

After the concert, Kyouko, Mariko, Yoshida and Fukuda went to the bar where Yabuki works in. Kyouko was drank and she wanted people to kiss her. Yabuki said that he would give her a kiss if she managed to win the wheel of fortune. The condition is to bet on her real age. She lost. They went home seperately. Kyouko failed to hail a taxi and being tispy, she yelled, "I want a man!" Yabuki saw her doing this. Both of them walked home together.

Katagiri Kenzou pretended to be ill and lived in the hospital to avoid the media. Kyouko is his doctor. At the hospital, Kyouko was walking along a corridor when she bumped into Suga. Suga with the intention of getting information from Kyouko, kissed her. She was so shocked. Finally, she leaked out the information to him.

Suga and Kyouko met in a shopping complex. They bought a red dress and a pair of tighly fit shoe. Suga bought a kissing fish for her.

Kyouko's cousin went to Tokyo and stayed with her. Kyouko was arranged to go for an matchmaking session with a man. At the hotel, she met Suga. Kyouko has a little liking for Suga after some encounters with him and she can't devote herself to the man. That man decided to give up. It was raining heavily outside and she had a date with Suga. She carried an umbrella with her and went to meet him. He was still there. She gave him her umbrella and left. Suga chased after her and she gave him a goodbye kiss, expressing her liking for him. He was shocked.

As an appreciation, Suga asked Kyouko out for a movie (Hua yang nian hua). It was Akiko's birthday that day and she purposely made him stayed by her side. Suga was late. When Kyouko saw the same pair of shoes Akiko is wearing, she is angry. She thinks that Suga would choose the same pair for all women. They had a quarrel.

After a few days, Kyouko was found another kissing fish and a movie booket of Hua yang nian hua at their doorstep. She was pleased and knew that Suga was waiting for her at the aquarius. She went there and they kissed.

On the other hand, Mariko went to look for Yabuki and expressed her liking for him. Both of them, together with Yoshida and Fukuda went out for supper. They asked Kyouko along. Kyouko came with Suga and officially anounced that they went steady. Being jealous, Yabuki also said that he and Mariko are a couple.

All of them went for a vocational trip.Suga and Kyouko chat about their highschool days. One night, Suga was at Kyouko's house and both intented to have sex. However, Yoshie came back and Suga sneaked away. He has taken a sock with him.

Both Suga and Kyouko met with setbacks in their career. Kyouko was sick. Suga did not show concern for her. Yabuki, on the other hand, visited her. This is seen by Mariko and she knew that he likes Kyouko.

Yoshie quited her job in the massage parlor and went to work in the drama group.

Angry with Suga, Kyouko made mistakes in work. Suga came to the hospital to look for her. He first sent a pacal with lemon water and the other sock to her. Kyouko was kind of touched by it. However, she felt that she is being tied down. She wanted a change and she asked Suga to marry her. Suga agreed and both went on to prepare for their marriage.

Suga and Kyouko had contradict views. Suga was asked to go to New York and Kyouko had a chance to get a phd degree in Japan. Finally, Suga called off the engagement and went to New York alone.

Yoshida went to jail on behalf of Katagiri Kenzou.

During the time Suga was in New York, Yabuki is persistant in wooing Kyouko. Mariko gave him up as she knows that he doesn't like him. Kyouko and Yabuki got closer and Kyouko had some thoughts of accepting Yabuki. However, she still can't get Suga out of her mind.

Suga came back to Japan on a special mission. He saw Yabuki kissing Kyouko in the bar. He pretented that he doesn't mind. He still loves Kyouko. Yabuki tried hard to win Kyouko over, but failed, so he gave up.

Suga and Kyouko has contradiction in work again. This time it involved the blunder made by a doctor in the hospital Kyouko works in. Kyouko would like to give Suga information. However, Suga refused to report it. Both care about each other. Kyouko would like Suga to get the credit and Suga would not want Kyouko to lose her rice bowl. In the end, Suga went to talk to the doctor and that doctor admitted it himself.

Mariko has feelings for Fukuda and both of them planned to open a shop. They got married. On the other hand, Yoshida was released from jail and got the liking of Akiko. They also got married on the same day as Mariko and Fukuda. At the wedding, Yabuki purposely tricked Kyouko into admitting her love for Suga. He sent her to the airport. However, Suga still left for New York.

Yabuki has a chance to further his acting studies overseas. Yoshie married the director in the drama troop. Kyouko left her job and went to a rural place to work as a doctor. She was waiting for the bus one evening when she saw a taxi. Unexpeatedly, it was Suga. Both of them were together in the end. Suga worked as a teacher.
