Home Learning & Projects

HOME LEARNING ASSIGNMENTS:

Home learning is posted daily and students are responsible for recording and/or organizing their work to take home.

  • 1) Language Arts - MON: Organize words, TUES: Choose at least 10 words to create your own sentences, WED-SUN: Spelling Speedway (3 activities) due on Monday. Students are also expected to study their words the night before a quiz (usually Sunday).
  • 2) Math - home learning posted daily on the board. Study Sunday night for Math Test.
  • 3) Projects - Any projects or special assignments will be posted when assigned along with the due date
  • TESTS & QUIZZES

    Assessments will be completed on MONDAYS unless there is no school or if unforeseen circumstances delay tests.

    These include a spelling quiz, a vocabulary quiz, and a math quiz/test.

    Projects will usually be due on Mondays.

    Writing/Spelling/Grammar WRITING - Writer's Workshop, Narrative Writing, Descriptive writing: idioms and similes; SPELLING - complex r-controlled words; GRAMMAR - Sentence structure; varying sentences; specific nouns
    Reading/Vocabulary Story: Akiak, Skills: Sequencing, finding details, drawing conclusions
