| After lunch in Shapespeare, everyone headed back over the city of Stratford to explore the city they had only breifly seen from the van windows the night before. The students and faculity had from around 2-8PM to shop, site see and eat before Richard III. After picking up maps from the town hall, groups were formed and the students went off to see what Stratford had to offer. Since there was more than enough time, students did not feel rushed and were able to take in everything around them. |

| The buildings in the city were toward the older side, however, they were well maintained and very beautiful and there were shops for every interest. Some of the students favorite attractions were the two chocolate shops, the highly kid friendly toy store, a few book stores and the cozy coffee shops. In additon to shopping, there were a few parks and a lake that were perfect for talking a quiet walk around. After a few hours of walking, it grew progressively colder and also closer to dinner hour. The biggest problem my group encountered was deciding where we wanted to eat. Stratford boasts a high volume of eating establishments, and one of the nicest features about these places is that almost all of them post the menus outside, so that people walking by can easily see the selection. It is something that I have not seen very often in American cities and I thought it to be quite helpful. This section of the trip is rather hard to document at this point since different groups of students went to different places, however, everyone did enjoy their time in the city.
