A loyal member of the Ecorse, Michigan based International Gospel Center Church since 1977, Evangelist Esther Smith was ordained in 1995 by the Churches late Pastor, Bishop Charles O. Miles. She continues to serve the same church faithfully under the leadership of the current Pastor, Reverend Marvin N. Miles. Part of her ministry is to teach others how to become and stay assets to their own churches, while serving their Pastor and congregation for the overall development and Christian growth. Esther does not teach or sing doctrine, dress codes et cetera, she feels that the individual Pastor does this.
