This
armoured vehicle, probably the best that intervened in the Second
World War, began to design in 1936 and entered production in
1940. In 1941, when the German assault began against the USSR,
there was one thousand of T-34, which had been enough to give
the overturn in the first months of the war in the Soviet Union.
The T-34 M41, was a bad used tank, its slop and armour with
sheet allowed to repel the enemy projectiles. There was built
5.000 units.
Nevertheless, several
reasons as a bad strategy and the deficient training of the
crews joined to that this magnificent tank was suffering abundant
absurd breakdowns; it collaborated with the German armies of
invasion. Time gave to Germany to make a worthy competitor,
Pzkpfw V Panther, at the beginning of 1943.
A later model, T-34/85,
began to make in 1943. It was weighing 32 tons and was equipped
with a cannon of 85 mm. and 51,5 calibres. No shielding resisted
its shot. Before the war was concluding, the USSR made approximately
12.000 units. Its production continued until 1958, with some
developments.
