JU 87Acquaintance as Stuka, Sturzkampfluzerug's abbreviation, evolved from JU 87, characterized by its wings of gull inverted, its massive landing gear and sirens for the bombardment. Its first flight was produced in 1935, going it first shape a flat vertical double of tail and an English engine. Later the prototype evolved, being constructed JU 87 A, with an alone plane of tail and an engine Junkers Jumo 210 in V inverted of 680 CV of power.Of this model 200 units were constructed. Its first service was produced in the spring of 1937, though soon it was replaced for JU 87 B-1. This it is a question of a device provided with bigger power, so much of engine as of load of bombs.

Its better characteristic is the manoeuvrability, being its more been afraid movement the fall with bombs on the target. It was built in several series, built only 5.700 of these airplanes. Its armament was including two fixed machine guns placed in the edge of the wings, with ahead shoot, an adjustable machine gun in the back part of the cockpit of backward shoot and an exterior load of 500 kg. of bombs. It entered production in 1936, being proved in the Spanish Civil War.

Its more effective use was produced in the Blitzkrieg, the lightning war, acting as flying artillery in support of the armoured formations. It lost prestige during the Battle of England, since it turned out to be very vulnerable against the enemy hunters. A great role played later in the fronts of East, especially thanks to the model JU 87G that, with two cannons of 37 mm, acted like tank-hunter. Piloting Stuka, the German ace Hans U. Rudel destroyed 519 Soviet cars.
