Strelkova (1896) - (1976). He
began his military career in the zarist army, later he fought with
he Bolsheviks and in the Red Army. Along his professional career he
reached several important successes.
During the development of the
Second World War he was a protagonist of important victories, especially
from the spring of 1944 in which in Ukraine, the Soviet ones, attacking
in three directions (Zhukov, Koniev and Malinovski) came to the former
Czechoslovakian border and, in May, recovered Crimea, which the Germans
had left for sea. For it he reached the degree of commander in chief
of the Soviet forces in Europe. Besides, whereas on May 7, 1945 the
German Jodl was giving up himself before Eisenhower, Keitel was doing
it before Zhukov. Between1955 and 1957, he was elected the Minister
of Defence.
During the battle of Stalingrad
was leading every soviet army in Stalingrad and Stavka's direct representant.
