| 3/9/07 Busy times. I'm doing two shows, only a week apart. The Robber Bridegroom at the local Country Day High School, using minimal equipment and un-trained but eager students. The other is Tuesdays With Morrie with the Artist's Ensemble Theatre. More opportunity, more challenge, and more emotionally draining. Putting out another few resumes next week too. 1/19/07 The photo updating is mostly done. It seems that the more I do, the more I find to do. I'm still working on the links from the Experience pages to the appropriate photo pages. And I've found some photos that should be included. It's always something. I also discovered that the Bio page was almost 2 years out of date, so that's fixed. 12-29-06 Ok, so I lied before, the photos pages didn't get fixed right away. I'm doing it now, now that I have a lot of time on my hands, and can expect visitors to my site. The old pix are being thumbnailed, and a bunch of new pix are coming too. 12-15-06 New American Theater Closes it's doors after 34 years. 8-20-05 Ok the next big overhaul is happening in the next few weeks. My photo pages were taking forever to load, so I decided to change over to a thumbnail format for my photos. I also just replaced and upgraded my photo archives from the current theatre photographer, so I have a lot more shows represented. Since I'm a complete noob at web design, and only using the Geocities 'Page Builder' templates, I'm not sure how it'll all come out. It works in my head... 12-23-04 This season started out with a bang. Not knowing the start date for the season at NAT, I accepted two other jobs happening early and late in September. Then NAT started up with it's first show in Mid September. Three shows going into tech in 4 weeks. The last one being Rocky Horror Show at Illinois Wesleyan University in Normal. (Photos Page 4). That one was crazy. I ended up setting a new personal record for amount of cues in a show. Over 350 in a 90 minute show. The other outside gig was with the new Artists' Ensemble Theater, here in Rockford. They are a great group of people with a strong theater background and phenomenal dedication to live theater. I'm designing Lights for two of their three shows this season, both being performed in Rockford College's Cheek (studio) Theatre. New American Theatre is welcoming their new Artistic Director, Tony Vezner. Once again, the design staff is having to learn the peculiarities, practices, and expectations of a new Boss. Keeping open communication is proving a key to learning each others ways. Neither of us can assume how the other will work or react in a given situation. My goal over the rest of this season is to catch up on photos from past shows and get them onto this site. I'm not much of a journal writer, but I'll try to keep this page posted on any new additions. For now, I've linked the shows in my experience page, to their photo page. |
