2003 - 2004 Year End Photo Review
Our students find learning enjoyable and memorable because inside the classroom, they not only learn new concepts and ideas, but they also get to experience hands-on and interactive learning. Research and good communication skills are some of the qualities that our curriculum promotes. The students are encouraged to ask questions, clarify, analyze and evaluate what they have learned, as well as make meaningful connections from their lessons to their everyday lives.

Class time begins at 8:00 a.m. and usually ends at 3:00 p.m. (except on Fridays, when it ends at 2:20 p.m.) Within that time frame, our students take Language Arts, Writer's Workshop, Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, Program of Inquiry, Art, Physical Education, Affective Education, Music, Computer, and Filipino or Foreign Languages. A subject session runs for 40 mins. (Except for Filipino or Foreign Languages where a session runs for 30 mins.). Below is a sample-breakdown of the different subjects and the number of sessions it holds in a week:

* Program of Inquiry (POI) is a subject that integrates lessons learned in other subjects like Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and Art. Our Program of Inquiry (POI) follows the ideas of the International Baccalaureate Organization Primary Year Program Curriculum (IB-PYP) that learning should allow students to make meaning and connections of what they learn to their everyday lives. (Please see
curriculum for more details.)

Our students also get to experience and enjoy co-curricular activities and extra-curricular activities. Field trips, exposure trips, Filipino-Month celebration, International-Month celebration, Math/Sci/Visual Arts Week celebrations, Sports Day, plays, dances and singing activities are just some of the relevant and memorable co-curricular activities we hold. After school, our students get to join extra-curricular sports and clubs.

We have a NO-HOMEWORK policy on Fridays. We believe that children should also have time to play and be with their families and friends or pursue other forms of interest. In this light, we do not hold tests or quizzes on Mondays.
