30 Seconds to Mars

30 Seconds to Mars is a world known rock band. The band is made up of three members. Jared Leto the main singer and guitarist is the initiator along with his brother Shannon Leto the drum player.1 The Leto brothers have been playing together since their early childhood. It was until about 2002 when both brothers decided to go out to a competitive world full of singer and bands. Along with the Leto brothers two members joined the band. Tomo and Matt had been with the band for many years. Recently in 2007 Matt took the decision to leave the band, so he can spend more time at home with his family. 2

Besides 30 Seconds to Mars having great music they also care for what is going on in the world. Their stand for Global Warming is an issue they have chosen.3 Many bands, singers, and people with an influence should stand for what they believe and use that power of influence to help solve that issue you might care about. One of the things that I read in an interview was that 30 Seconds to Mars had a lot of songs that they had written but they only chosen those songs because they were the ones they put their heart and soul in them.

If 30 Seconds to Mars was like any other band they would have released a lot more CDs but the songs they take out they put their soul and love to each song. They do not mind waiting a long time to release a new disc. They are commitment to the band, it is amazing! I truly admire this fact about the band, Along with the focus of success towards 30 Seconds to Mars, they have announced to the world their concern of world issues.3 30 Seconds to Mars arrived to a concert where a reporter asked why they have arrived in such a big army looking car if they are so concern with global warming. There response was simple; it is running on vegetable oil. 4 Recently in 2008 30 Seconds to Mars launched a new website about global warming. They also have a short video where Jared Leto talks about the issues. This site in fact also gives suggestion to help slow/stop global warming. 3
