Annie's Home!

Yesterday was a big day for our Annie.  She spent the day at the vet and was spayed and had to have 4 teeth pulled and had to have her ears cleaned deep down inside :o(

After spending a little time at our house she was a little confused, we loaded her back up in the car and away we went.   Annie, Abbie and I visited with Robert and Diane Dickson of Smithville, MO on Friday afternoon and they decided Annie would be their new girl.

Robert and Diane had a beloved Springer girl, Lucy that they lost this past year and their house was just too empty.  While they weren't up to a puppy, Annie fit the bill perfectly.  Annie enjoyed exploring their large fenced in backyard that backs up into a wooded area.  She got to chase a squirrel and a rabbit!  The Dickson's said that she'll see many deer in their yard as well.

After arriving last night at their house, Annie quickly laid right at their feet and went to sleep.  She'd was pooped.

We sent Annie with a bunch of goodies, a small bag of Nutro Ultra Adult, a couple of cans of soft Nutro Ultra Adult food and several "Special" Foil Pack Nutro snack meals.  She also had a bag of dog cookies, a new red Kong toy and a Soft Lamb Toy...and last but not least, a steralized shank bone and a new collar with a riveted tag with her new last name and phone number.

Her new parents bought her a nice new Mink-Like Dog bed for her crate, which is right in their bedroom, so she won't get lonely at all.  Before we left Annie had already had visitors, the Dickson's son and daughter in law came to visit as soon as they found out that she was there!  They live right down the street and will be Annie's sitters whenever Robert and Diane are out of town.

It's always hard when a foster goes home, but today was really hard, not seeing Annie's sweet little self this morning.   We assured we'd visit soon and stay in touch often though.
