Annie & Puppy Blog
This is a blog to chat about our daily adventures with Annie and her puppies.
Entry for October 9, 2006

Mommy decided to cut the apron strings...

I heard a little consistent bark last night to find Annie at the stairs wanting up with the other dogs... she went to the open crate and stayed there peacefully until we got up this morning.

We brought babies upstairs for breakfast gruel and then a brief nursing time with mommy and then back to the puppy pen in the family room.

Annie is crate trained, she's kennel when told and will eat in her kennel as my dogs do with no hesitation.  She slept a little on the bed with me on Saturday morning but didn't stay for long.  I'm confident that she'll make someone a super companion dog.  She likes to fetch a little and is learning what outside is all about... and that it's not a bad thing to go out.  We might start taking walks on a leash a little bit this coming weekend.

We rec'd some Eukanuba puppy weaning formula and some baby toys from our Springer friends in the Kansas City area and all the puppies are having a ton of fun with their new things.

We want to also thank Gladstone Animal Shelter for stepping up and offering their discounted individual cremation services for Brinks.  Even though we don't live in Gladstone they allowed us to bring him there .  When his ashes are ready we will have a special place for them in our home.  Thank you for everyone's condolences we've rec'd.
