Galadriel is known as the Lady of Light. She is the wife of Celebron; Lord of Lothlorien. She keeps one of the three elven rings, called Nenya, and is mother of Celebrain and grandmother of Arwen. When Frodo offers Galadriel the ring of power at the mirror of Galadriel, she refuses it, which means she remains pure, yet diminishes in power. |

When the fellowship seeks refuge in Lothlorien, she gives each member of the fellowship a gift to help them on their journey when they depart. Based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien, to Frodo, she gives the star of Earendil, to Sam; a bit of Lothlorien earth and elven rope, to Merry and Pippin; silver belts, to Gimli; three strands of her hair, to Legolas; a Lothlorien bow and quiver, to Aragorn; a sheath for Anduril and a brooch made from Arwen's jewel, and to Boromir; a belt of gold. To the entire company, elven cloaks that helped disguise them were given. They also recieved lembas, elvish waybread, and boats for the journey down Anduin River. |
