In the Michigan Literary Community

we have so little to celebrate.

Motown Writers Network would like to change that and with your help you will help someone out there who is working hard in the literary community become something special this November at our Annual Literary Jam!

Below is your chance to vote for someone or a business that is doing something in the literary community to help strengthen and change us to become better readers and authors.

All votes submitted will be counted and then the winners will be notified by October 30th.

Winners will receive an all access pass to the Essence of Motown Literary Conference to be held November 6th - 8th, 2008 at the beautiful Sheraton Riverside Hotel in wonderful Downtown Detroit. Along with their pass, they will receive a quarter page recognition in the conference book and online and eblast, plus more depending on sponsors and prizes donated for these awards.

Nominees must be a Michigan Author or Business or Residence and we would like for them to attend the conference especially the night of November 7th, 2008 to receive their recognition. Once you nominate someone below please add in comments why you feel they should be considered and/or a website.

Not only should the Nominees be somehow apart of helping the literary community, but they must be someone who wants to help the literary community in Michigan grow stronger. "It's not about how many books or products a person has sold, or the income they bring in, but it's about the tithes that they give to the Michigan literary community," states creator of the Michigan Literary Award, Sylvia Hubbard.
