2004 Eventing Association Awards Results Once again, we had another sucessful year with a bunch of returning horses competeing for their former titles, but also new horses and riders to heighten the competition. I again would like to thank all members, horses, and riders who competed along with everyone who took the time to hold an Eventing Association recognized event. This was a great year, but let's not stop there! Look out for Badminton, Burghley and Rolex CCI*** this year along with the World Equestrian Games. Should be very exciting! Beginner Novice was quite a change from last year with plenty of riders and one of the most competitive divisions. BN Horse of the Year The Nameless owned by Bam with 21 points (a number far beyond the rest of the competition!) Winner of a $50 gift certificate to any business of her choice. BN Runner-Up Horse of the Year We had a tie in this division, so here are your two winners! Rythum owned by Ashley and Chip Me In owned by Meg, both with 8 points. Each winners of a $25 gift certificate to any business of their choice. BN Rider of the Year Bam with 56 points. Winner of a $50 gift certificate to any business of her choice. BN Runner-up Rider of the Year Meg with 30 points. Winner of a $25 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Novice was also a very impressive division with a very tight point seperation. 9 points seperated all 11 horses! Novice Horse of the Year Irish Jig owned by Ashley with 10 points. Winner of a $50 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Novice Runner-Up Horse of the Year Silverstone Legendary owned by Tanya with 8 points. Novice Runner-up Rider of the Year Ashley with 10 points. Winner of a $25 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Training was a very small division, but that did not make it any less competitive with all 6 horses divided by the smallest point seperation of 3 points! Training Horse of the Year We had a 3-way tie! Catherston Reniassiance owned by Ashley, CS Bold Malacite owned by Sasha and Under the Influence owned by Ashley all with 6 points. Each winners of a $50 gift certificate to any business of their choice. Training Runner-Up Horse of the Year Nobel owned by Ashley with 5 points. Preliminary had a very large bunch of talented horses who really gave it their all ending with the 9 horses all being speerated by the small amount of 8 points! Preliminary Horse of the Year Caddyshee Spirit owned by Ashley with 10 points. Winner of a $100 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Preliminary Runner-up Horse of the Year WP Cuisle Mo Chroí owned by Sara with 8 points. Winner of a $50 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Preliminary Rider of the Year Sara with 24 points. Winner of a $100 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Preliminary Runner-Up Rider of the Year Ashley with 17 points. Winner of a $50 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Intermediate seemed to be the recreation of Preliminary with 9 horses and an interval of 8 points. Intermediate Horse of the Year Confront Nite CS now owned by Lexxi with 9 points. Winner of a $100 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Intermediate Runner-Up Horse of the Year We again had another tie between SBS Emerald Storm owned by Sara and Lady Dynasty owned by Ashley both with 6 points. Advanced was the largest divison with the biggest competition, between the horses AND the riders! Advanced Horse of the Year High and Mighty EA** owned by Katie with 24 points. Winner of a $250 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Advanced Runner-Up Horse of the Year Maximum Bob owned by Ashley with 23 points. Winner of a $100 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Advanced Rider of the Year Sara with 78 points. Winner of a $250 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Advanced Runner-Up Rider of the Year Katie with 67 points. Winner of a $100 gift certificate to any business of her choice. Horse and Rider of the Year was quite a difficult decision (again!) with horses tied in many different divisons and all the standings very, very close. However, after careful consideration and long hours of debating, the EA is proud to annouce the most prized title. 2004 Horse of The Year High and Mighty EA** owned by Katie with 24 points and winner of the Advanced Horse of the year.
