| NADAL FAMILY REUNION My mom's mom's (not a typo) side of the family reunited in the OC. It is now my guilty pleasure to visit there. This is as diverse as the family gets. Adopted, step-whatever, Filipino with a HARDCORE Texas accent, half-German, half-Irish ... you get the idea. |

| Jamming in the O.C. Me and Derek jamming in acoustic stylings to Ben Folds Five's "Brick," Coldplay's "Trouble" and Eric Clapton's "Tears In Heaven." What's so funny about this picture is that our tinkering with the instruments was a monumental moment in this household's lifetime. The parents were thrilled that the instruments were being played. Ian's dad even broke out his violin and we jammed to Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star. Hardcore, yo. |
