Q: Why doesn't the Mini Sun Power Saver have a PSB sticker?

A: The Mini Sun Power Saver is not a controlled item, unlike TV, rice cooker etc. which consume electricity.
Therefore it does not require a PSB sticker, nor would PSB need to issue a sticker.

Q: How many Mini Sun Power Savers do I need to use?

A: It depends on whether your house/shop is single phase or three-phase.
HDB flats, whether its executive condominium or 3-romm flats, are single phase and need only one.
Some private apartments are three phase and may need more than one.

Q: Do i need one Mini Sun Power Saver for each appliance that I am using or do I need one for each socket?

A: No. One is needed for each single phase household/shop.
You only need more than one if your house/shop is three-phase.

Q: How do I tell if my house/shop is single phase or three-phase?

A: Look at the number of wires under your power meter. 4 wires means your house/shop is single phase and 8 wires mean your house/shop is three-phase.

Q: There are 2 models of Mini Sun Power Saver, should I get the bigger one so that my saving per month is higher?

A: No! Which model you use should depend on your monthly usage of electricity.
The smaller model is used for normal households and shop houses with monthly electricity usage of below 800kwh.
For household and shop houses with monthly electricity usage of 800kwh and above, the bigger one should be used.
Both models are retailing for the same price.  

Q: If one Mini Sun Power Saver can save 10-30% of my electricity consumption, does it mean if I install 2 I can save up to 20-60%.

A: No. Only one Mini Sun Power Saver is needed as it helps regulate the current in your house/shop.
Using more than one would not increase saving.

Q: Why isn't the saving percentages fixed, at let's say 25%? Why does it varies?

A: As every household uses different kinds of electrical appliances, are located in different areas, have different regulation of electricity, have different electricity circuit, etc. the saving percentages will be different as well. The effectiveness of the Mini Sun Power Saver will depend on the factors mentioned above.

Q: Besides saving electricity, does the Mini Sun Power Saver have any other uses?

A: Yes! The Mini Sun Power Saver is also a regulator. In situations where the electricity is irregular, the Mini Sun Power Saver can help reduce damages to appliances caused by sudden up-surge in electricity and reduce flicker caused by sudden low-current.
