Fifth grade is an important milestone in a student�s life. This is the time that a student evaluates and reflects on his or her accomplishments and strengthens their weaknesses to better prepare them for the next level of their education. The students� analytical view of their personal being and habits is so detrimental to their reaching success in middle school.
Children that possess good working habits, practice self-discipline and accept responsibility will find success in the academic arena. A student that receives the honor of �Student of the Month� has demonstrated that he or she is willing and able to �do the right thing� and excel in and out of the classroom. They have demonstrated leadership, integrity, responsibility and perseverance and it needs to be recognized by the community within and out of the school.
