UP4730 (flare SD70M) leads this seven unit consist on the second section of the QRVML28 departing West Oakland, CA. The first section had passed earlier in the day with four units including SP8691 - an ex-EL SDP45 unit. This second section is unique in that is was made up here in Oakland out of yesterday's set-out cars from the QRVML27.

Another shot showing the train as it passes by with its seven engines and 20 cars! No doubt that the first section with 4 locos and 100 cars will set-out some of its load for the second section to pick up to balance the MiraLoma bound freight headed over the Cuesta..

Ex-CNW Dash-9 UP9834 leads the MSJRV28 back to Roseville with 3 extra units in tow. Yesterday's MRVSJ27 power (2nd/3rd unit) includes the UP8630 (patch DRGW5375) and UP2269.

Standard snoot 40's UP3473 and 3337 join UP5707 on the rear of the consist as the old MRVSJ26 power that didn't get to San jose until Monday (27th) in the AM hours. It didn't return to RV on Monday due to it's crew getting deserved time off after dying past the law on Sunday's ill fated MRVSJ26 trip. The MRVSJ26 never got beyond Davis with a bad order airhose on a car and ended up in Roseville for the night. The crew made it to SJ (their homebase) via Renzenberger van and clocked out at 11PM after starting on call at 8:30A!
