�3D Wire Harness Design

Using SolidWorks for the mechanical assembly and EMbassyWorks for the wire harness assembly, 3D solid model assemblies were created to define and document complex sheet metal, plastic, and wire parts used in these assemblies.

Exact wire lengths, wire run lists, Design Rule Checks, and harness requirements (shielding, backshells, signal integrity, etc) could all be verified in the virtual design, cutting down on the amount of design iterations between multiple physical mock-up assemblies and testing, with the virtual prototypes neccesitating the need for only one physical model in some cases.
