Sit in a quiet place and formulate the question or situation you wish to have clarified. Concentrate on this while holding the ogham pieces in both hands. When you feel ready, draw 3 Ogham characters from the bag, still concentrating, and hold them until you feel it is time. Then toss them and observe where they fall.

The ones facing up are read first. The one that is in the centre if up is read first, and others after. Those that fell face down are read last as they may be seen as the far future. The influence of the Ogham pieces depend upon their position relative to the centre and whether they are face up or hidden.
